Lyric only songs

When entering a lyric only song , i give the song an approximate time to play. ( this way the lyrics dont disapear before the song is sung).
My issue is the length of time it takes the scroll to start running. ( i have tried entering the time at the start of each verse,
but the scrolling is very jerky, jumping from verse to verse, ).
I now have run the songs and noted the time when the lyrics start to scroll, i then make an educated quess as to when to start the song from the press to start, ( i note this "offset" on the lyric page). some times this can be as long as 40 secs.

However it would be great to be able to select an offset to control the scrolling of the lyrics from the "press to Play"
start.
I don't have an issue when using backing tracks.
Otherwise a great program and have loaded around 60 irish songs and sea shantys so far.

Nick there is no real benefit using lyrics only , using normal stereo tracks gives you a lot more control especially if combining loops, you dont have to use backing through PA but use it as a precise lyrics display control.
Also you can colour code your lyrics only songs and your backing tracks and your normal stereo songs so you can easily distinguish between them when creating a playlist.

Hi Nick. It may be possible to add a silent mp3/wav and then you should be able to timestamp the lyric scroll in the normal way?

Tresca turn off auto load next song so it doesn’t change before you want it too. Highly recommend timestamping your lyrics so you don’t have to worry about the autoscroll.

I came here looking for a solution to this as well.

I have quite a few songs that I just need to scroll while I’m playing (like ultimate guitar tabs browser version)
But I can’t seem to get the page to move at all unless I scroll it myself. I don’t have a lot of backing tracks yet. So, it seems I will need to upload a click or a silent mp3 to benefit from the scrolling capabilities?

ADAM_ just record yourself live and use that as your audio muted bed, you can then use this recording to timecode lyrics and use the loops to jump to any part of the song so now you have lots of options if you hit play your lyrics will scroll exactly how you normally perform but if you stop play you can easily jump to any loop you created which gives you exactly what and when you need it , hit play and the lyrics scroll again.
Just mute you quick recording as it’s just a guide, also set up your tempo to the song and enable the visual click now you have a guide tempo so you can stay in rough time as well it’s actually a lot easier because if you don’t need audio backing it can be reasonably rough and easy to setup.
Stereo tracks is your best way not lyrics only as it’s limited.

No, you just need to set a duration for the lyrics only song. Without an idea how long a song might be, Stage Traxx can not initiate any type of automatic scrolling.

Another easy way to scroll through lyrics with time stamps is to use a simple click track. So, one backing track.

If I am not mistaken, you should be able to adjust the tempo of a single click track and apply it to multiple songs in the same time signature, i.e 4/4 3/4 6/8, etc.

Yes to me calling them loops is more logical as that’s what they do for you , they actually give you a loop capability so why not call them loops as it’s also easier to say and write , audio regions is awkward to always repeat in saying yes TECHNICALLY that’s what they are but to the end user we don’t care, we want an easy to use term that can be easily said and written and it’s what the thing does which is it can LOOP a region of audio SO WHY NOT CALL IT LOOP OR LOOPS.
It’s just a user friendlier way instead of a technical way of expressing it.
PETER is great , but he is a very TECHNICAL person with MUSICAL ability, thank god we have him and whatever he thinks is fine with me
you could call it whatever I am just grateful we have this fantastic capability as no other software can do this so nicely for on stage artists.
