Stereo vs Mono Multitracks through Focusrite 18i20

I'm in the process of setting up several multitrack songs and not sure whether to export stereo wav files of drums, keys, backing vocals or export mono L and R of each.

I'm going to be using either my iPhone X (with the Apple Camera Adaptor because it didn't work otherwise) or an iPad to run the app, exporting audio from Logic X and putting it through a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface (unless you have a better product suggestion).

I'll also be adding a mono click, which obviously doesn't have to be a stereo wav file, and to some songs a mono kick and a mono sub type bass.

So at max sending up to eight channels to the front desk, monitors and also possibly also a couple of separate earbud mixes.

Also should I be mapping the Focusrite to work with Stage Traxx or should it work just as plug and play?

It is up to you whether you want stereo playback or mono. There is no right or wrong way to run your playback system.

When you connect the audio interface, you need to setup (or at least check) the audio routing in Settings > Audio Routing. That routing is remembered and you only need to do that once.

peter Thanks Peter, I was thinking I had to export a mono version of a stereo track from Logic to import into Stage Traxx for playback through a single channel. I thought there may be aliasing/phasing issues playing a stereo audio file through a single mono channel, but it sounds fine.

And of course I now see that I will be sending a stereo audio file to two channels when for some reason I thought I'd have to pan one left and another right to get stereo.

Easier than I thought it would be.
