Will ST3 still support ITunes importing of songs in the future.
My problem is ITunes library of 256 mp3,s was only 1.3gb.
Converting to ST3 format when checking ST3 folder is 6gb and that does not
include the backup which I copied to a usb drive.
Or am I missing something.

That doesn't seem right. During the import ST3 will write files in 256 m4a so the size should stay the same.

Try the following:

  1. Refresh the song list to see if there are no other songs in the ST3 folder
  2. Check with the Files app if there are other files in the ST3 folder
  3. Delete the app and restore your backup from the USB stick

      Well I have heard of another case where this happened and we could not point it down to anything special. Might be some imports that did not finish and left temporary files, but I really can't tell.

        peter Did another backup.Copied it to usb stick then deleted it from IPad.
        Checked In Ipad settings/general/iPad storage.ST3 shows 3.6gb.
        Reinstalled ST3 and restored backup.
        Did the same check and it reads 1.3gb.
        Seems the IPad is not deleting all of the data in the backup.
        Could just be my IPad but thought I’d let yo know.

          OK, I did a small test. Initial size for me is 180MB.

          1. Create a backup in ST3 => Size is 355MB
          2. Delete this backup in Files app => Size is still 355MB
          3. Emptied Trash in Files app => Size is 180MB

          This seems OK for me. Did you clean the trash in the Files app?
