Chords not transposed when using ` at the beginning of the line

Hey,
this is just a question so I know how to proceed..

When using the ` at the beginning of a line, chords in this line are not transposed - correct?

I'm trying to find a nice way to use the lyrics editor to only write down chords.

When using the brackets for chords, they are transposed, but I can not place them nicely.
When using the ` at the beginning, chords are not transposed.
I know a PDF is recommended for this, but I really need the transpose-function.

MikeR yes you are correct when using that symbol the chords aren’t transposed.
What do you mean when you put them in brackets you can’t place them nicely? They will appear directly above where you place them in the same line of the lyrics…

thank you.. that's what I wanted to know..

as I said, in some cases, I only write down chords, no lyrics..
and then it's hard to display them with proper spaces in between..
I think I have to dismiss the idea of transposing the chords in this case....

MikeR just remove the apostrophe symbol and they will transpose without it or being in brackets.

Lines containing chords only need escaping when the chords are not automatically recognized. Chords not recognized can not be transposed automatically.
