MIDI Commands Not Executing Reliably

I inserted a MIDI command in my lyrics sheet to set an effects on my Headrest Gigboard. The results have been unreliable. I have multitracks playing along with time stamps set and allow ST3 to scroll through the lyrics

Gigboard MIDI ID: 3
Ambient FX: 2
Crunch FX: 3

Inserted the following command at the beginning of my lyric sheet to set guitar FX for most of the song.
NOTE: I must subtract 1 from the FX ID to select the correct FX.

[MIDI: PC1@3]

Set the following MIDI command to change to my crunch FX. Does not work during song flow.
[MIDI: PC2@3]

These two commands work fine if I tap on them in the lyric sheet and run the Send MIDI command manually.
It never changes to the crunch FX when I am scrolling through the lyrics.

There is no timestamp on the crunch fx command. So it is only sent when you select the song.

peter Thanks Peter. To confirm, I cannot run MIDI commands while a song is playing. In other words, I can not send a MIDI command to change the FX for a solo.

Is my understanding correct? If so, can this functionality be added in a future release? That would be da bomb-diggity.

CFMD28 ST3 needs to know when you need to send it , then it sends it.

CFMD28 Tried that and MIDI Command appears as text. So that's not it. Sounds like you can't execute MIDI commands mid-song, correct?

When I put a time stamp in front the command appears as text. Do I put the time stamp after the command?

CFMD28 Okay, I just watched the MIDI Command video. I need to add the timestamp after the MIDI command.

without a time stamp before your command, ST3 is sending all those commands
as you press play.

Sharonzaz That‘s not right. Without a timestamp commands are sent when a song is loaded.
