ST3 is a great, affordable app that has significantly improved how I work but there a few simple(?) things that I think would make its usability in a live setting where songs are chosen on the fly even better.
Q1. Why is it possible to add the same song to the queue multiple times? Surely, playing the same song more than once in a show is a very rare exception rather than usual?
Q2. Why can't I filter out 'done' songs from my song list? They might be coloured differently but they still clutter up the list when I'm quickly trying to select a song I haven't already played.
It would be great if I could filter out 'queued' and 'done' songs from the 'Songs' tab.
- I reset the 'done' flag at the beginning of a show - All songs are available in 'Songs' tab.
- As I queue each song it is filtered from the song list and appears in the queue. - Benefit being that I can't accidentally add it to the queue multiple times.
- When the song is played the 'done' flag is set so it will not reappear in the 'Songs' tab until I reset the 'done' marker before the next show.
Ideally, I would like to prevent 'done' songs from being played again if, for example, a song in playlist 'A' has already been played as part of playlist 'B'.
Is this something that could be added? It may not be as mind-blowing as adding video support but I still think it would be a very useful feature using properties that the songs already have.
