We have been using StageTrax live using an iPad 7th generation, we have been using an LA 401 ear speaker in our left ear. It was working perfectly! I upgraded to 9th generation and reloaded our songs. Again it worked as it should but tonight when I went to practice now the click track is no longer separated. I can switch the plug back and forth between the 7 gen and 9 gen and the 7 works properly and the newer 9 still won’t separate the click track. Obviously I must have a setting wrong I just can’t find it. Ideas?
Click track issue
Please check in Settings > Audio Routing that you did not enable mono output for the headphone out. Because then ST3 would sum left and right to mono.

Thank you for the response Peter. So I checked the settings and it is not set to mono. I have been comparing how the 9 is set compared to the 7 and they seem the same. Something I don’t understand is that a couple of the approximately 40 songs loaded on both pads work properly. That is when I start the song I hear 4 clicks in my left ear then the music starts in my EV PA. And some of the songs, actually most of them the click track is out front, main speaker and one of the songs only plays in the earpiece. My Generation 7 plays all 40 songs perfectly, click track in left ear then music out front. I have re-downloaded off karaoke.com a few songs and tried reloading them on StageTrax but it still plays it wrong. Anyway I’m stuck. Thx again.
Are you running stereo songs or multitrack songs?
peter
Multitrack songs. It’s almost like the multi track songs that are downloaded on to the Gen 9 don’t know what they’re supposed to do or how to load properly. When I first started using StageTrax I was using the Gen 7 and the songs all loaded just like they were supposed to and we never had a problem playing live. I only updated to the Gen 9 because it had 250 gig versus the Gen 7’s 32 gig. I wanted to be sure I didn’t run out of room especially since I was going to try using Logic also.

Please post a picture of your routing page from both the old and the new iPad. I think your routing is different on both devices.
Peter I apologize I’m not sure what you are needing, routing page? Is that on StageTrax

Peter not sure what you need the site tells me my pictures are too large so I am sending a YouTube link with a video. Let me know and thank you again for taking the time.
That video is private. Open Stage Traxx, go to Settings > Audio Routing and post a picture where I can see the multitrack outputs. I am 100% sure that routing is your problem. You are sending your click and your backing to the same stereo output. Make sure to route them to different mono outputs.
I changed the YouTube settings, this site keeps telling me my picture is to large but I believe now it shows what you need.

That's the routing without anything attached. But once you connect something to the headphone socket, the routing changes. The routing is stored for each connection type seperately. So make sure you set it up correctly when everything is connected the way you need it.
That’s it Peter! Thank you so much. It was the routing After it was plugged in. I would never have figured that out.
