hi all im using a boss gigcasger 8 and getting duplicate midi commands received on ipad but not pc when i trigger midi event.
0,03:26:49.122,out,Controller 9: 0,16,0,BF 09 00 event sent to pc
14:51:36.299 [CC] ch=16 controller=9 value=127

received by ipad
any ideas as stage tracks gets confused.
So 1 message when sending to pc looks correct an 2 messages sent to ipad or iphone

xlr8neo I think someone said the other day that the gigcaster does not send/receive midi and only sysex which ST doesn’t do.

peter so i’ve done some further digging and apparently the gigcaster shows 2 midi output ports on the ipad see screenshot from midi scope and both send the same information i can’t see a way for stagetraxx to only listen to one port? am i correct

It does send midi, but does not receive midi.

OK, so while you can excluded midi ports in ST3 from being used when sending midi data, ST3 will always receive midi messages from all ports registered in iOS. So if Gigcaster advertises two ports, ST3 will automatically receive messages on both ports.

Can you maybe disable one of the ports in Gigcaster?

no options to do so unfortunatly and roland replying are useless
stage traxx does not respond to the command being repeated when tiggering start/stop or play altough it does appear learn the command th only button i got working was stop.
next track moves 2 places
previous track moves 2 places
start stop does not operate not start or stop

I'm afraid there is no easy fix in ST3 for this problem. I would need to add another configuration screen where you could set certain midi ports to ignore. That's something for the next feature release but not for a bugfix release.
