Ideally when I select a song I’d like to:
immediately jump to PDF lyrics
AND close out the song list on the left.
Is there a way to set that up?

If that’s not possible- Is it possible to click on a song title in the song list and
at least jump directly to PDF lyrics without an extra step?

Info: I currently have Advanced Queue Mode and Show Queue Tab OFF.

I’m pretty confused on sending a MIDI Play command from my iPad to
another iPad and having them play in sync.
Not sure if this is done per song or globally
and exactly what commands are involved.
I’ve read the manual and tried what seemed obvious and haven’t gotten it working so far.
I could use some specific guidance.

In a multitrack song, do all tracks need to be the same audio format?
E.g. mixing mp3 and WAV files, FLAC etc.

When you stay in the lyrics view (tap on title in mini player), the pdf of any song you select will immediately be displayed. The song list on the left can only hide automatically during playback.

What exactly do you want to do with syncing 2 iPads with MIDI? Maybe the network hosting feature is better suited for you (depending on what exactly you want to do).

You can mix file formats in a multitrack song but they should all have the same samplerate to avoid out of sync playback.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't want to use the network feature because my wife and I have completely different PDF's we're using and I also don't ever want to trust Bluetooth or Wifi at an actual gig - rehearsal, sure, gig - no way.
All I want to do is when I press Play I want her iPad to play in sync with mine. I've managed to get other things working between our iPads and her MODX+, but I can't get the Play to work despite trying various commands and reading the manual. Like I asked above - is this global, or per song? That's one question... I just need exact steps and commands for both sending and receiving, whatever that is.

With the network feature each client can display their own lyrics or pdf documents. And network reliability is actually quite good if you bring your own 5GHz wifi router.

If you want to use MIDI, you can just define a MIDI command (anything you want, doesn't matter) to send when the play button is pressed, connect both iPads via midi and then learn that command on the other iPad in Settings > Assign Actions (press play during the learning process on the main iPad to send that command).
