Improvement to "Playlists"

Hi everyone! When using playlists, I create one list per "set" of a gig. Eg, "Set 1", "Set 2", "Set 3", etc.

The problem with this is that when populating each list, there is no way keep track of which songs I've already used in previous sets for the gig.

Perhaps the addition of "folders" could address this? You could for example have a folder called "Hard Rock Cafe Gig", and within that folder have a playlist for each set. When adding songs there could be some sort of feedback indicating if the song has already been selected in another playlist within that folder.

This would also be very handy if I wanted to for example export a list of every song allocated for a gig (not just a set).

Also, when building the sets for a gig, it is currently very clunky to move songs from one set to another (between playlists). Perhaps a special view of multiple lists within the one folder could allow the user to click and drag songs from one list to another.

Finally, I've found myself wishing I could "Archive" playlists, so that my list of playlists remained clean, but I didn't have to delete old playlists that maybe worked well at a particular venue etc. A "folders" feature may be able to facilitate this.

cam_drums hi Cam, I see your problem and have thought things through to how to use playlists to benefit in the long run and save TIME and have an easy on stage experience.
I use the playlist as my gig , so I name the playlist accordingly PUB GIG , Sam’s Wedding, Festa Concert, etc all the songs I can perform are in the playlist in alphabetical order to start with then I drag and place the songs appropriate for that particular gig until I have enough songs to do the gig so out of all my 370 songs I might drag 40 to beginning in order I think might suit the gig if I plan to do 10 song sets then I create the order appropriately this then I follow but I might jump to another song occasionally as needed and I can do that by foot pedal as all my songs are always available in alphabetical order after the 40th songs, so now I have four sets of 10 songs I run through as planned but I have lots of flexibility without having to go to SONG MODE to search or to another playlist, because all my performing songs are in the one playlist, this also has other benefits, I can easily duplicate a playlist rename it and slightly rearrange it for a new gig, I can easily print out the whole playlist and send the client my song list I propose to perform and they can see if they would prefer other songs I have in my repertoire, the benefits just keep adding , yes you can use ST3 in lots of ways but I always compare all the positives and negatives when I choose a way that’s the most beneficial to use the app,
It’s all up to you how you need to run but I am pointing out a solution to your frustration.
You have DONE song indicator which is a great thing to see songs you have already done , you can create TEMPLATE playlists to save time organising song order and just duplicate and rename for appropriate gig SETs reside within the playlist, foot control is simpler and easy choosing NEXT songs.

I use lyrics only songs that are named "Set 1", "Set 2" and so on and have a distinct color. This way I have only a single playlist for a multi set gig. Moving songs between sets is a no brainer with this approach.

For Archiving purpose why not create a keyword "Archive" and assign that to your archived setlists. Then configure the filter to only show playlists that do not have the Archive keyword.
