I’m not seeing this kind of midi syntax embedding. Is it just the same as what is in the docs but the app setup now targets the other app to command?

I’m running AmpliTube and ST3. I would like to add simple program changes when a song loads in ST3. Is this something to recon with outside of ST3?

Skid like patching the midi commands with AUM and sending it tin AmpliTube from there?

There is no difference between internal and external MIDI. ST3 will send all MIDI commands to all detected ports. If the other app does not offer a virtual midi input, you can enable a virtual midi output in ST3. Of course then you need to enable that output somehow in the other app.

peter The Amplitube app has a "Learn" dialog. You can press a button and so forth to assign to a parameter. I suppose I could setup a program change command in ST3 and send that to Amplitube with my MacBook then simply loop back the midi in/out and run it from the same iPad instead of externally with the MacBook?!?!?

I'll need to check exactly what Amplitube is asking for. I am sure ST3 can provide whatever is needed...

Skid OK, it seems to just accept a Patch Change without anything else needed. One thing to note... It is off by one so [midi@play: PC 13@1] produces a patch change to 14. I am routing midi commands thru AUM midi routing setup.

Some devices start numbering by 0 and some by 1. So it might be off by 1 depending on your device.
