Hi all, i am stumped, i am sure the volume buttons on my ipad use to control the master volume in ST3, i have updated to latest 17.1.1 and have found the buttons dont change the master volume in ST3 anymore, either i have accidentaly changed a setting in the operating system or in ST3 settings or the operating system has changed.
Can anyone help or point me in the wright direction 😤🥵😩😱

Works fine on my iPad with 17.1.1. Must be something on your end.

    peter it’s probably a setting but for the life of me I can’t find the damn thing , yesterday I purchased another iPad 9th generation 256gb WITH A HEADPHONE SOCKET and made a carbon copy of my iPad Pro 10.5 as a backup, it also does not control ST3 master volume with the mechanical buttons , I know this worked before on my iPad Pro and I haven’t done any changes apart from updates on both to 17.1.1 running ST3 3.8.5 (8894).
    HELP!!!
    Just to add, the side buttons actually work on YouTube they just don’t work with ST3 anymore.

    Further report both ipads the master volume in settings does not funtion , i can move the fader but no audio change occurs, it looks as though i have a corrupted software strangely on both ipads i will give it one more try by creating a full backup and reinstalling ST3 and see what happens.
    ST2 actually works fine so it must be ST3 has gone corrupt.

      Good news, i have just reinstalled ST3 on my new 9th gen ipad and the master volume is now working with the side buttons, so it looks as though my ST3 software went gaga on my ipad pro and when i duplicated all the data to my ipad 9th gen it also must have copied the glitch , so now i will have to reinstall my ipad pro ST3 and restore the recent full backup.
      Ahhh !!! love this new reliable technology 😂🤪

      Final report, i reinstalled my ST3 on my original ipad pro and this also fixed my master volume issue, ive never had that problem before , the only thing i did thats out of the ordinary is i uninstalled a pluggin called Youlean LM Lite which is a master metering pluggin, i think i accidentally deleated it as i was cleaning my drive space to make room for a full backup of ST3 i have a feeling this uninstall has corrupted my ST3 master volume control.
      I cant prove it but its the only thing that i have done thats unusual.
      Anyway i am back and running as usual and now i have two identical ipads one as a true backup and i will use it on stage as my guest ipad and my background music player as well .
      Hope this saga will help someone one day.
