LeesKeys For those of you who are multi-tracking, using stereo tracks (i.e. audio outputs one and two) and sending the click track to a 3rd audio channel, what audio interface are you using? Would something like a Scarlett 4i4 work? I don't want to spend more than $300USD.
peter I use a Behringer UMC204HD. Has 4 Outputs and works fine on a powered hub or with the powered Apple Lightning to USB adapter.
LeesKeys Peter, using the MMC204, if I have my audio tracks coming out on outputs 1 and 2, how would I route output 3 for the click track? Additionally is there a way to mix this in the headphone outlet? How do you have it set up?
peter Go to Settings > Audio Routing and route the click track to output 3. I don't understand the question with the headphone output. Do you mean the one on the UMC?
peter There is a button on the interface to decide whether you want to have output 1/2 or 3/4 on the headphones. I don't use that. I feed everything into the mixer and setup monitor feeds there.
peter Depends on the gig. Small setups with Flow 8, medium setups with XR18 and big Setups with X32. Most gigs are with the XR18.
LeesKeys peter I have a small Yamaha mixer (MG06x) which doesn't have options for monitor mixes. So I won't be able to get a dedicated headphone mix with my unit. I'll need to come up with something different.
