Pearler It would be great if multitrack files could be in their own folder within the multitrack folder. It would make it neater and eliminate conflicting file names
Hi Pearler, this is how and why I would change to multitracks.
In my DAW I expect to be able in one hit export all individual tracks, I then want immediately to end up with one folder the name of my song and all individual tracks to be within this folder with the track names in alphabetical order .
I then expect to long touch this folder and point it to open within ST3.
ST3 to then automatically create a multitrack song or ask me to overwrite the existing song if it already exists as a multitrack song, it should ignore any stereo songs of the same name as it is a multitrack song .
The fact it is a folder being imported to ST3 it should be immediately placed in to the multitrack main folder under the song folders name , then as it has created the multitrack song it should immediately load the first 8 tracks in an alphabetical order if you have more than 8 tracks they simply become available to you for later manipulation, so as long as you name your tracks in the DAW 1 bass, 2 guitar, 3 drums etc they will automatically be loaded in to ST3 appropriate multitracks, this then creates a super fast transfer of data between the DAW and ST3, the time spent in the DAW editing is what would consume your valuable time and the time it takes you to actually load it in to ST3 and use the multitracks is insignificant , this then becomes a game changer , the ST3 multitrack folder would be nice and neat to use and things would be super fast so you can concentrate on lyrics chords and other data imputing.
I am sure Peter is already across this .
