Using Beat Buddy midi to start playback in ST3

New to ST3, and trying to teach ST3 to recognize Beat Buddy to start playback. So far no luck. I have my ipad connected to the Beat Buddy via Audiobox 96 USB, and it works on another app i have called Multitracker. Are there any tricks to training ST3? Thanks!

dstusnick I use STAGETRAXX to select and start my beat buddy songs. The following is an example of a midi command I use to select a song
[midi: CC0.0@2,CC32.99@2,PC12@2]. This will select song 13 in folder 100. I then add the following command [midi@play: START@2] . When ST play button is pressed the beat buddy will start. I use midi channel 2

No tricks. I believe there are some other beat buddy users here. Maybe they can help. Also try the search function. There have been already a couple of threads about the beat buddy.

Thanks Peter! Love the product so far… very impressed with the functionality and simplicity! Tried searching but didn’t find a solution as yet, hopefully a BB user will chime in. In the meantime I’ll keep at it…

DickyDutch thanks, that is really useful. I was trying to go the other way around, i.e. I start the song on BB and BB sends the play signal to Stagetraxx to trigger the backing tracks. If I can’t get it going that way I’ll try your approach but as a midi newbie the coding has a steeper curve
