Panel Layout

Drummers are used to those little drum pad triggers. As a vocalist I love the list layout. I have been asked several times from drummers if they could change the song list layout from a standard list to panel. I think that would be a great feature to be able to toggle back and forth as desired. Here's the app he is using. Stage Traxx has way better features! Hoping this is an easy implementation. 🙂

jconaty Hi! I know exactly how your Drummer feels as a quick hit of a large button and all songs to be there in your face is very nice. BUT as the old saying goes YOU CANT HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO, ST3 main job is to give people Lyrics display and powerful backing capability, once you expect it to do more you start compromising what it is supposed to do , if you have great large buttons to hit where are your lyrics going to be , once you start introducing more pages you bloat the software and make it confusing.
Perhaps Peter should consider creating different versions of the same software aimed at specific needs, ST3 for drummers, ST3 for Vocalists, ST3 for Instrumentalist's etc, I would love that because the software would suit me perfectly, the problem at the moment is screen size and peoples needs, ST3 is software on steroids, it does a ship load and it does it practically so you can use it on stage, any more steroids and it will explode.
I like the large buttons as well but I know I can’t practically have them on stage because all other features are more important to me.

Great feedback. I agree however, my point was for both the drummer and the vocalist.. and the guitar player. For instance in a live setting (using a click) you might want to create a network where the drummer is the host and starts the songs. The drummer doesn't need to see the lyrics, but the singer does. The guitar player might want to see the chords etc. From what I see this is just a layout option (Programmatically very straight forward). The guitarist and vocalist would use the application as originally intended with the caveat of not having to touch anything.
The drummer simply has bigger buttons 😉

Fully agree with Damir. I will start a brainstorming thread soon for version 4. Maybe bring this up in that thread when the time comes.

jconaty I totally like your thinking and agree with it, a lot of people need things differently including myself when I have others on stage to consider, perhaps in the new version we can all provide feedback to what would be most important to all, in your case customise ability to create all devices to work how you need them, this would be great except Peter is greatly restricted by the operating system capabilities and the lack of apples understanding of what normal people actually want, this lack of understanding is also present in a lot of other large corporations which employ smart computer nerds that don’t have a lot of real life experience and understanding of why they are creating an operating system for.
ST3 shows itself to be better than most other software because we are fortunate to have Peter the computer nerd that is actually a musician who understands the actual purpose of what he is creating but his hands are tied by those other computer nerds that have no idea of the end goal to what they are doing.
I know it’s frustrating but hopefully things will change and perhaps we can improve ST3 in the next version , if Peter has the will to keep swimming in the mud.
I have what I need and am very happy with it but I know it could be better.
