As the iPad is less than 1 meter above (on the microphone stand) is there not the possibility of connecting by cable in this case? (Rather than multiple devices which will ultimately be powered by usb-c)

Olivier I don’t think so, not unless you want to go from lightning to usb and then usb to midi.

You can use any class compliant midi interface. It will automatically be recognized by iOS.

Thanks. Reading the documentation for my Live Play GTX I also see that it is possible to receive MIDI control messages on the USB port.
Is it possible to connect a cable from this USB (mini port) to the iPad? Would the iPad be powered at the same time?

I also have a question regarding the transition to VoiceLive 3 Extreme which is more complete and has midi input and output.
This pedal has 10 push buttons, do you know if it is possible through the midi output to assign, for example, buttons to start/stop playback, change titles, etc... in ST3 as we would do with an Airturn type bluetooth pedal board ?

Olivier not sure. You’ll have to check the manual for that.

Look in the manual whether the usb port is "class compliant". If not, it will not work on iOS as it would require drivers.

Use a USB powered hub, which connects to the iPad via the Lightning to USB adapter (or the USB-C to USB adapter). Then run the USB connection from VoiceLive and plug that in your USB hub. Voicelive and Stagetraxx should communicate and you can midi learn commands.

A powered hub is only needed if you connect anything without its own power supply like usb audio interfaces. A powered device like the Helicon should work without a hub.

So I ordered a WIDI jack and connected it to the midi input of my tc-helicon Voice Live Play GTX

In the Stage Traxx 3.8 config, the Wi-Fi is recognized and connected.

The problem is that I cannot send midday orders.

For example, I read that the CC28 command allows you to press the "HIT" button (blue light for vocal harmonies).

I tested several syntaxes, including this one for example to trigger the harmony at minute 2:26

[midi@02:26.0:CC28.127@1]

and nothing happens.

What should I do please?

I just realized my mistake!
A space was missing in the syntax before CC!
It was necessary to write:
[midi@02:26.0: CC28.127@1]

On the other hand, I can press HIT but not change the preset (the other 2 buttons up and down on the VLP GTX...)

Olivier the syntax would’ve still been highlighted blue with or without the space wouldn’t it? At least it is on mine.

The syntax highlighting rules are a bit more relaxed. They only look for „[midi“ at the beginning and then highlight whatever follows.
