Damir Music App is shut down - still no audio output.

peter I have looked in audio routing and everything is disabled - when I on it there are no other options other than disabled with a tick

Hookey I have never seen a situation where there was nothing displayed in the output selector. That would mean your device has no audio output. Do you have an audio interface or bluetooth audio device connected? Try without anything connected.

Hookey it should not be disabled it should be in speaker setting , if this does not exist I would make sure I have a full backup then I would uninstall ST3 I would then update to latest operating system , shut down the device and restart it then I would go and install the newest ST3 available and then shut down and restart the device , then reinstall the full backup again then check that audio out has speaker selected , if you play a file it should play now .
You should definitely have a disabled, speaker and a Left and Right speaker selection option.

I am using an iPhone 7 SE running IOS 15.7.9

Hookey that’s your problem , the device is probably too old for the new ST3 3.8,
The only 2 solutions are, stay with the old version of ST3 or update your phone to a model that can run ST3 3.8, I have an iPhone 11 and it works fine with all the latest operating system and ST3 3.8

I am missing the main audio output in audio device setup. That is problem if I want to route multitrack to my digital mixer. It is not possible to send main audio (it means all tracks at once) but there is possibility to send only individual multitrack tracks. In previous version the main audo send option was present. This is big problem. Anyone with same problem here? I need help to solve this problem. Thanks.

Damir how can I go back to the old version of ST3 ??

You can not go back to an old version.

But I think the problem might be that the iPhone only has a mono speaker and ST3 always expects at least one stereo output. I will take a look at it for version 3.8.2.

For now, connect a headphone. That should work and sound much better than the speaker.

peter yes Peter you are right - I plugged my headphones into the phone and now I can select them as an output -‘Thankyou 👍

Damir Thank you for the replies and its nice to see all of these suggestions, I just got home from work and am now going to try these great suggestions and hopefully I will find the solution. I do appreciate it and I am glad my post might be helping a few others who have had similar unfortunate issues like mine. Thank you for being a great community.

For me there is still no audio. I have checked the audio routing and it is set to stereo channel 1/2, I tried disabling it and nothing, I shut down the music app, still nothing. It plays sound when my interface is off. When I turn it on I get nothing. The playhead moves when I press play and the interface even shows output like it is making sound but nothing it coming out. So weird. I have sound from everything but ST3.

Here is the audio routing from my Mac Studio display which the sound does work from...
The sound used to work from my interface before the last two updates from ST3.

hulk7999 so if everything appears to be working and still no sound out of your interface , have you checked your connection from your interface to the amps , if everything appears to work it might be a very simple thing not related to ST3

Could you post a screenshot where the text is readable? Maybe make the ST3 window smaller.

What macOS version are you running? Have you updated to ST3 3.8.1?

peter I am on Mac OS 14.0, running version 3.8.2 now, just updated, still no sound, everything else works for sound except ST3. Here is a picture with the wording bigger.

It has to be some setting in ST3 I am just not seeing. My sound works on every other plug in and app I have on this Mac except for ST3. It's driving me nuts. I was enjoying using the app. Now I can't.
