I've just purchased the TC Helicon Voicelive Play. This is the blue unit. It does not have a hardwired midi port like some other Voicelive models, but can be connected to my Macbook via USB for firmware updates and preset backups. Trying to figure out if I can send midi commands from Stagetraxx to VoiceLive to change Voicelive presets. I'm doubtful but wonder if anyone has tried this.

Well that pretty much settles it. No midi. Are there other VoiceLive Play owners out there who use it for gigging? How to you manage VoiceLive presets to quickly access the next song in your Stagetraxx setlist?

Unfortunately the usb is only for backing up editor files and presets also for firmware updates

The Voicelive 2,3 and Xtreme have dedicated midi ports

      I have these units

      For ease of use,
      Use the Natural Play
I would use the Aux in from either a headphone out of your desk or a Aux out (monitor mix)

Make a 3rd up patch (High)
Get your reverb etc dialled in how you like it
      Store as preset 1

Duplicate this patch and edit the harmony to be High & Low (3rd above & 4th below)
      Store as preset 2

Duplicate again and edit to be High & Higher (3rd up and 5th up)
      Store as preset 3

Your harmonies will track via the backing tracks aux in

All you need to do is decide are you using
Patch 1 - 3rd Up (High) this will work over any song, this is the fool proof patch

      Patch 2 - 3rd above and 4th below ( High & Low)
      Or
      Patch 3 - 3rd above and 5th above (High & Higher)

The units do a lot, I’m going to save you time and tell you not to bother outside of these patches
The fx are fun but gimmicky
