Footswitch options help

Thinking of buying a footswitch to give me hands free capabilities .
Whilst a track is playing all the tracks are listed down the left side with the lyrics showing on the right .

Can a footswitch be set up to scroll through the songs individually then load any song as the play next whilst still playing and showing the lyrics of the current track ?

I hope this makes sense what I am looking for .

Abo yes you can assign midi to ‘jump to next song in queue’ action.

Abo I use playlist mode , I enable song playlist to always be open and my lyrics always present , I then use two of my six foot switches to be able to scroll up/down to choose next song , by having all my songs in a playlist allows me to foot choose to any song , other methods you need another foot switch to get around different playlists, this I believe is way to hard on stage. Best thing is to try all options and choose the method that suits you.

Thanks for the reply . Still not sure if that would do what I wanted .
Imagine there was 40 tracks , the playlist would play 1 to 40 in numerical order.
If I were playing say track 5 I would like to be able to load up say 18 to play next then when playing 18 load up track 6 to play next ie go back to the normal order .

Is that possible with a footswitch ?

Abo well no because there’s no way stage Traxx or the midi command would know you wanted to go from 5 to 18 to 6 as opposed to 5 to 18 to 19?

That sounds like what I am after , I can work with one playlist but need to jump back and forth depending on the crowd .
Cant decide if I would need 4 or 6 footswitch
1 - play track
2 - autoplay on /off
3 - search up the tracks
4 - search down the tracks
5 - volume down
6 - volume up
So you think the playlist mode would do this ?
How do I know what mode I am in - sorry I don't have my ipad with me .

That’s exactly what I have, a 6 switch foot pedal and a TC Helicon play electric for guitar, the programming of foot switch is very simple and what I do is I program the play button to be the closest to me as this button is always used then I place the loop select next to it as it compliments the stop button , so you can quickly stop and change loops and start again without much foot movement , song select buttons I keep well to the opposite end of foot pedal so I don’t accidentally hit stop, and I place the volume buttons in the middle as that’s what I touch the least amount as all my songs are well balanced, lately I have changed this to speed/tempo change as I am finding I am using this more than volume, plus volume is easily manipulated on the screen itself .
So I definitely suggest 6 button foot switch.
I also use a digit 3 AirTurn little hand control Velcroed on my guitar this gives me another 6 switches and a different position to trigger my start so I can walk away from my singing position and still trigger a start and there I have similar control of things what I did was to place Tempo change on my foot pedal and kept volume change on guitar remote so I can walk towards the front house speakers and remotely tweak the level of backing track level.
These are small things but they all add up when performing everyone alway says how seamless things appear when I perform and I have no sound engineers or any other support yet it’s all happening like magic, only other musicians that are technically minded can pick up my operation method most other musicians are baffled to how everything runs so easily, and that’s thanks to ST3 and it’s capability.

When you have the playlist tab selected, you are in playlist mode.

And yes, with the pedal setup you wrote, you can jump from 5 to 18 and then back to 6 but it will be quite a few button presses.

Would there be a way to go from , for example , from track 5 to 18 to 6 without an many presses ie a page up rather than pressing through all the tracks like I'm guessing you mean .

There is no page up/down and I doubt you would want to waste 4 pedals for song selection. I guess a quick swipe on the screen would be the fastest way to cover large distances.
