Amazing work Peter, 8 tacks and 8 out + main this is great, will use it for sure! Love that you have simplified the Audio Routing as well! I would even suggest to go one step further, by allowing users to rename the tracks in the tops section (Multitrack Output). Doing so, you could eliminate the bottom table for renaming the tracks. It would also be easier to read and to figure out quickly what track goes with what output (no need to lookup to the other table anymore). Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy Stage Traxx!

peter No, you can export a full playlist and one or more songs in the song list. Naming a playlist export and a single song is easy, but what to do with multiple songs?
Ok, what if you just fix the import and naming of playlists so I can then play around with exporting in song mode , I believe it would be good enough, if we choose more than one song the naming of the file as default could be something like Exported .stsa file 1 , 2, 3 etc and allow us to rename it to whatever we like should do the trick, then when we need to import these files just call it as it is IMPORT .STSA FILES so it’s nice and clear, what .STSA is or does, doesn’t matter to us users, all we know is that our songs are transferred with all the necessary data that comes with the song and it will play perfectly the same as in the original device.
But firstly I need to be able to load the songs before I can test anything further.
Hi Peter, I’ve just tried to share an audio file to the Beta ST3 with no success, the file appears in the Beta folder but the refresh pull down trick does not expose the song so apart from using the full backup restore I can’t load any songs , I don’t want to use full restore as my size is 22gb and I purposely am using the other methods of import to test things , so good luck with it all, I will test further after all the other things are working.
Cheers Damir
New Beta build 8861
This update contains all fixes so far.
I tried to improve the cloud enabling process to prevent situations where enabling cloud sync could cause unexpected results. ST3 will check whether there is already data in the cloud. If there is no data in the cloud, then it will inform you that after the app is restarted, your local data is uploaded to the cloud. If there is already data in the cloud, it will inform you that all local data is deleted and then redownloaded from the cloud. It is no longer possible to merge the local data with cloud data (which did not work reliably anyway).
So basically the cloud data is always the master. It is no longer possible to delete data in the cloud accidently just by enabling cloud sync on any device.
If you want to delete the data in the cloud, you need to disable cloud sync on all devices (which will keep the data intact on these devices) and then delete the cloud data in ST3 settings or in the iCloud preferences. After that the first device where cloud sync is enabled will upload all local data to the cloud. All other devices joining after that will delete their data and download it from the cloud.
Added
- It is now possible to export selected songs from a playlist in edit mode
- Added search scope selection when using the searchbox. Either search in all songs or in the filtered song list.
Changed
- Changed the way cloud sync is enabled (see above)
- Song export files are named after playlist or exported song (when only 1 song is exported)
Fixed
- Possible crash on iPhones with iOS17 when exiting the song search
- Import of stsa files does not show the import options dialog and will abort
- Greyed out lyrics in songs without timecode when highlight with brightness is active
Hi Peter, where in the settings is the choice to enable/disable auto scroll of lyrics when you scroll to a new screen position?
I can’t seem to find it and I miss it greatly.
Damir Hi Peter, where in the settings is the choice to enable/disable auto scroll of lyrics when you scroll to a new screen position?
Settings > Lyrics & PDF > Manual Scrolling Override
Damir I managed to import a whole playlist from ST3 to Beta directly , but if I use the saved .stsa file I get the zip error message.
What do you mean by "import directly" and what do you mean by "use the .stsa file"???
The error in your screenshot says "File not found". Not sure how you got there.
I found a bug, that lead to out of sync multitrack playback. At first it was on a gig (yeah, I am testing BETA at work). Some of the songs were playing slightly out of sync right from the start, maybe some tracks in a song started with a slight delay, not all together. Not a big drift, but enough to start a panic attack. It happened 3 or 4 times during 2 days of testing. These songs were playing 100% perfect before. If stopped and started again - all perfect (didn't tried at a gig though).
I made a full backup of the latest stable version and imported in beta yesterday. Same hardware as before (iPad Pro 10.5+powered USB Hub+UMC404HD - 3 months playing with this setup, 6 days a week). At home I installed latest beta 8861 and still managed to reproduce this issue even without audio interface, just with the built in speakers.
So what I found is when you select a new song (all are 6 track multitracks) and select last region, for example, Press Play - all tracks were out of sync. Stop->Start again from the same region and all perfect. Next song -> Select last region->Play - out of sync. It happens not in every case, but very often. I can record a video. Even if I wait for couple seconds after selecting a song. Obviously at work I start all songs from 00:00, but for the testing purposes I selected the last region in every song and press Play.
6 tracks mp3 320kb/sec, 44.1kHz, 2048 Buffer, no pitch or speed applied.
Just tested the same songs all over again in the latest stable version (3.7.5) - all perfect, even if I select songs and regions really fast (I thought maybe it was a loading buffer issue).
Search scope selection implementation is amazing! The fastest way to toggle search in filtered list or in all songs. Thanks a lot!
Highlight mode - Brightness - is now my default mode. It is prefect for partially colored text/chords. And it is more easy to find the current line at a glance.
Audio region start and stop times can now be edited as text - is a very precise method to make perfect loops. Is it possible to automatically fill Region Start time from the previous Region End?

SignalProducer Can you send me the logfile together with the name of the song where that happened the last time? Please use Settings > Create support email. And does your internal sample rate setting match the file sample rate?

Just move the region start of the second region to the left. When it hits the previous region, the times will be aligned seamlessly.

I saved .stsa playlist in ST3 to downloads , then I opened beta version , in song I selected from exported files , went to download folder and selected the saved .stsa file and got the zip, file not found message
Found some bad things on Apple iPhone 11 max pro,
It’s going to be very difficult to explain so I have photos.
Sometimes I get a search option in my song playlist area other times I don’t, sometimes the interface in landscape shows the bottom buttons in correct spot other times it sends them off screen,
This is dependant on if I change orientation, it fixes itself but the search bar appearing I still don’t know why what fixes the issue sometimes it’s not there in my song playlist other times it is , I can’t figure it out yet.
There are lots of issues I would like to point out in the iPhone ST3 that really need ironing out before any further functionality additions, the interface needs a lot of polish as it’s gone on steroids and becoming frustrating unnecessarily as the space is there it just isn’t used properly because of it’s progressive development without thought to the IPhone version, I will point these things later.

peter Regarding the iPhone issue. I guess I should disable the searchbox in iPhone mode. No use anyway when you can not see anything with the keyboard opened.
I don’t mind the search option I just think it needs to remain in the same area to when you bring down the keyboard, as it shifts down creating a wasted space, because we don’t have much space to see the songs it is more vital to be able to search with ease , just don’t waste space, and reduce the size of the unnecessary large play buttons , keep the buttons consistent in both view options to reduce wasted space.
I wrote this earlier and will attach it now.
Ok I will point out quickly things that bother me.
Why is the search area shifting when you select a keyboard the area shifts in to position where it should stay when you exit the keyboard , why does it drop down and create a wasted space when it badly needed by song selection ?
Why is the play button so large and hogging up space when it could be consistently the similar size as the two function buttons so you gain more space for the other functions like the volume slider and the button would remain the same consistent size in both view options making it less distracting to the user , in landscape mode it is way to dominating ,
I still continually keep bringing down the player while using loops, I always hated this operation perhaps a simple arrow pointing down and up in the left side where the history, playlist, song, selection is would be a better option similar to lyrics screen size adjuster would be a more definite and obvious option because at the moment this function is not obvious to anyone yet it creates a problem and you have to be a mind reader to figure it out , I believe this would fix two major issues with one hit.
peter Just sent you an e-mail with a logfile. Yes, internal sample rate matches.
Suggestion, Delete iCloud Data, blue message in SYNC settings should read, Delete all ST3 iCloud Data, so it’s clear to users it’s only the ST3 iCloud data not the whole iCloud data that’s being deleted if you press this button.

Good morning,
I notice that when you remove the dark mode (depending on the brightness to see better on a white background), the text of the lyrics is no longer visible (because it is also white).
Isn't it possible @peter to also invert the text color in this case (white would become black, an inversion like the background color)?
If this is not possible, the color black should be added to the list of possible colors as choices...
Thank you so much
Olivier.

peter Update. This morning I updated to the iPadOS 16.7 (previously was 14.7.1). Visual metronome now works! In the songs properties I can see Tap near the BPM value, same as in the drop down menu. Previously (14.7.1) it was just a blue square and metronome didn't work.
But out of sync multitrack playback is still a thing, same drifts (it's very noticeably when start playing from a region).
