Text Editing Issue

I would like to be able to italicize entire sections so they show up using timecode. I originally had used a color change to identify those sections where i use harmony but they don't show up with timecode scrolling. I don't seem to be able to italicize more than one line at a time which is really useless. Any suggestions?

Formatting works only on a line by line basis. If you want everything in italics you have to set it in every line.

I'm afraid I don't see a way to do that as with timecoding, each line is seperated and rendered as an independent block and the text formatting is done on these seperate blocks. So any formatting commands spanning multiple blocks will not live through this process.
