The third of my iPads in my set-up is refusing to allow access beyond the initial 6 songs, and the message comes up that "In-App purchases are not allowed" when I go through the process of upgrading to full status, then pressing "RESTORE PURCHASES". This iPad is older being Version 5 with iOS 16.6 and is the one I was hoping to use for screen lyrics.

Any help appreciated once again. Cheers.

Make sure that all iPad are logged in with the same AppleId. Do you get an error when pressing "Restore Purchases"?

Yes... error is still showing when I press "Restore Purchases", and the AppleID is the same as the others. Only thing still to check is "sync to iCloud" which I am unsure if it is switched on for this iPad... will check when home from gigs later. Cheers.

And what exactly is the error that you are seeing?

Edit: sorry, I just saw you posted it in the first message.

The error in app purchases not allowed means that you have deactivated in app purchases in your iOS settings. I think it is something in Screentime or in the family sharing options that you need to turn on.

Got that Peter... thanks again.

The solution was buried in the Screen time settings and needed a passcode which I had forgotten. Sorted now.

I can now get back to using the best app I've come across in many years... ST3. Cheers.

10 days later

This third iPad is proving to be impossible to work with.

I went to add all the tracks today and instead of the third iPad taking all information from the either of the first two iPads (which were set up perfectly), it decided to take control and make the other two the same as it was, with NO FILES, NO PLAYLISTS and a total wipeout of all my work for the last 2 weeks.

I tried restoring backups on those first two, but somehow the backup files are not visible anywhere on iCloud or on either iPad. I really don't understand.

I had lots of hair last week, but I think I lost most of it today.

bobinscotland I feel your pain , I experienced the same problem as I could never get 3 devices to be perfectly sync up something would always be out of whack, so for now I just turn off the iCloud and sync up my devices using full backup and one device is my master device where everything gets completed and once the other two get out of sync after a week or two depending on how many changes I make and when I have free time I go through the full backup process using airdrop , I always feel great after a full sync session knowing every device is the same and once that feeling goes away I do it all again , but it works reliably every time.
I suggest stop using iCloud till it becomes easy and reliable and spend more time creating music , and if you come across a better solution please let us know.
    Cheers Damir

I scrapped the third iPad tonight... just looking for a pond to see how far it will skim across it before dropping out of sight forever... lol. It means I am going back to using my trusted A4 folders with paper lyrics on a music stand.

Started all over again, aiming to put all 33 hours of music on 2 iPads for my shows and rehearsals. Got those 2 iPads back to about 80% of what I need, so not anxious about making the next show at least, but that was my worst day in 16 years of preparing my music for public performance.

Still have all the EQ and sound balance to check again, but at least I sorted the backup issue on iCloud, and double backed it on iPad, then triple backed it on an iMac for good measure... lol. Onward and upward as they say.

Damir Agree 100% on this! iCloud sync is way too temperamental to be trusted.

Please take a good look at the warning here: https://stagetraxx.com/user-guide/cloud/

Seems like you had iCloud sync turned on at one point on the third device, then turned it off and deleted your songs and then turned it on again. This will replay all the changes you made on the database while sync was off.
