I'm a new Stage Traxx 3 user. I did a Full Backup on June 06 and it is listed "on my ipad". I did another full backup today. After naming the backup, the backup completed before it asked me to select a location. I can't find the backup. It's not in the Files folder or the "on my ipad". I did additional full backups for testing but can't find any. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong??

Do you have enough free space to create multiple backups? I can't imagine why the app would not ask for a place to store it.

In any case, I would suggest moving the backup away from your iPad. Backups should be stored somewhere else to be able to restore them in case your iPad is damaged.

My iPad has a storage size of 256GB. 210GB is available. My song DB is 10GB. Steps for full backup: I name the backup. The very next thing that happens is the backup starts. I'm not receiving the Destination box/option for the backup.
iCloud is only 5GB so this is not an option. I don't know how to move the backup away from the ipad.

ToscanoSaxMan have you tried searching for all the backup files you made it’s important to find them all and delete the ones you no longer need otherwise you will end up with no space very quickly , once you have cleaned your iPad go through the save full backup and wait for the whole process till you get a prompt where to save , choose a folder like downloads as it’s common and easy to find from there you can transfer to other devices using air drop and if ever you are forced to reinstall ST3 the full backup is not effected.
Don’t keep any backups in the ST3 folder cause they will be erased when reinstalling ST3.
Keep your operating system and ST3 current if possible and you will have no problems.

Hi Saxman.
Sometimes when doing a full backup it takes a little while for it to ask you where you want to save it. In your case wait until it asks and choose to save it on the iPad. When this is done you can then connect to another computer and use iTunes to copy the backup using the file sharing option. Afterwards you can delete the backup from your iPad if you wish.

Thank you so much for helping me with the Full Backup. I installed ST3 on another iPad and it worked. I waited for the Backup to complete and finally saw the prompt with the destination option. I found the other Backups and deleted them from the iPad. I removed the Backup from the ST3 folder and used itunes file sharing to move it to my windows 10. I love the ST3 app. It has so many great features compared to the iPad "music app" (Thank You Peter). Have a great day guys.

Now I see. What could have caused this problem is if the last location you had opened in the file selector was a cloud drive. This often causes issues when trying to save a big multi gigabyte file. The best workaround in that case is to create a small database only backup and store it on your device. Then you can create a full backup and the file selector will default to the last opened local location.
