Ipad Storage

I`m thrilled with the multi track feature.
But I see my Ipad(s) storage space is reduced dramatically.
Is there possibility to use some kind of external storage, external disk, USB stick, connected to the Ipad?
Or do I have to open my wallet for a new ipad with more storage?
Appreciate if someone have experience in the same situation.

HWH in todays world you’ll need a bigger storage iPad.

I’ve converted this far 140 of my tracks to multi track.
Plus 500 (little more actually) of my normal stereo tracks plus 150 or so older band tracks In stereo. I’m sitting on 13GB. If you have a 32 or 64 GB iPad, yes it sounds a lot.
128/256/512 iPads are recommended if you’re gonna use them as music libraries.

My main iPad is 512 and my backup (my old one) is 128.
My next iPad is going to be at least 1Tb.

Even if you could carry an external drive (even if it’s a tiny flash thumb drive) would you want to carry it and use it on stage? Why?

You could also use a compressed file format to save some space.
