AirTurn problem?

So yesterday I had my first gig with Stage Traxx on an iPad Pro. The app is great, but when I use my one AirTurn BT pedal for start and stop, and the other for looping audio regions, every so often when I press one of the pedals, it opens the iPad keyboard which covers half the screen. Really annoying. Hope there is a fix/explanation for this.

The other issue I had is that at the beginning of some songs the first one or two intro clicks are inaudible. Is this an AirTurn issue? Because when I start the song using the app's start button, all the clicks can be heard clearly. I also use USB from the iPad and into the mixer. Could that be an issue as well?

Regarding audio: that could be a usb issue. I experienced this issue with a cheap bluetooth receiver. I believe cheap audio gear needs some time to setup the audio stream. I would try another connection to the mixer or add a bit of silence to the start of your songs.

Regarding Airturn: make sure you do not use Keyboard mode for your Airturn devices. That will get rid of this issue.

peter Thanks so much Peter. I'm going to try the Fiio BTR5 BT DAC. Hope that will take care of it. And, yes I will add some silence on my future tracks.

And may I add that I used a cable USB-C to USB 2.0 to my Soundcraft mixer. I thought that this would be a bullet proof connection. But I think this is causing the initial silencing. And after my second break, the USB connection to my mixer didn't work. I had to unplug and exit many times before it reconnected and communicated. Not good.

Maybe you have a faulty cable. You might try one from another brand.

peter I bought the Fiio BTR5 bluetooth DAC, and used direct mode on my AirTurn. Worked like a charm. Problems gone🙂 Thx so much for your help again.
