  • Playlist with songs share on airdrop crashing.

Hi Peter

Whilst trying to sort my midi problems yesterday I decided to share a playlist with songs with my band mate. He shared a playlist with files with both of my pads, separately. The first pad which is pretty new got to 100%, said “ done “ then the screen froze, st3 closed and on reopening the file was absent. Same issue when I tried on an old iOS 13 pad.

Not sure where I’m going wrong.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

KeV

peter thanks Peter, I will take a look and come back to you . Sorry about the late response.

The app did not crash but was terminated by iOS because it used too much CPU for too long. How big is the file that you sent?

Also the crashlog is from iOS12. So you are stuck on the version 3.6.7. Even if this was a bug in Stage Traxx, I can not update it as newer versions require a newer iOS version.

So what I would do: First Airdrop the file and save it in a folder. Once saved. Open it in Stage Traxx.

Hi Peter

That was the report from old iPad, my new iPad did the same thing.

It was about 45 tracks 3gig

Thanks so much.

Then please send me a crashlog of ST3 version 3.6.10 on the newer device. I need a log from the current version to see in detail what was going on.

Hi Peter.

I’ve sent the newer log, or I hope I have.

In future I’ll save it first then open it.

Thanks.

The app did not crash but was terminated by iOS because it wrote more than 1GB to disk. Which is to be expected if you transfer a 3GB file. I am a bit clueless why that happens because backup files are often larger than your file and they cause no issues.

Maybe Airdrop is the problem here. Try to first save the file before loading it in ST3 as suggested above.
