Hi Peter

Before every song, I make a short presentation.
Would it be possible to implement a support for this ?

If the first section of the lyric is allocated to such a presentation and the lyric is displayed without starting playback, it would be a simple usable solution.

Best regards

Peder Jelsbak

I don't understand. Lyrics are displayed as soon as a track is selected when you are in the big player view.

Yes, but the playback starts without delay. I need time to make my presentation, before I start the playback.

Have you got ‘start after loading’ ticked in settings?
It’s not called that (I can’t recall) but similar

I still don't get it, tap on the song title in the mini player and the lyrics view will open without the playback starting.

Hi Peder, I don’t know how you run ST3 so I can’t comment to help you exactly but I will explain how I would do it with my way of running ST3 as I do have songs I start performing and I need lyrics then I trigger start later when needed, so your need is very similar as you have a need for presentation then you start.

I use stereo backing with line time-coded lyrics

In my text editor I place a full all zero timecode [00.00.00] at the beginning, after that I place in your case presentation then after the presentation I place another timecode but this time it is [00.00.01] this is actually my song start timecode where my backing track starts.
So when the song gets loaded the whole short presentation is displayed and highlighted for you so in my case I can freely sing my intro and as I hit start the song backing audio the lyrics follow in sync.
The issue you will get with this is if your presentation is long then it won’t all fit on the page so to help I make sure I use the line lyrics setup to the top of screen, this gives you more lines to see and I reduce my text size to see more lyrics at once , but if I really had the need for much longer presentation regularly I would then introduce a foot pedal page turn so I can step through the screen and when I hit start BANG! My backing track starts and presto my first song lyrics begin to auto scroll.
The other advantage of this is when the song pops up and all your lyrics are highlighted in my case yellow it is a great prompt that in this song you are presenting first in my case I am free tuning an intro , this makes it so easy if you have lots of different songs to perform.
I hope this helps as I don’t know your way of running ST3, as it can cater for many different uses.
          Good luck Damir

            Hi Damir

I'm not shure I fully understand, but thanks anyway 😊

              peter
              Now I understand 🤗
I tried it and it works OK 👍
              Thanks 😉

Peder ignore what I said as I wrote it quickly.

Do you have auto play enabled?
Top right of the lyrics page by the EQ/files buttons.
My songs do not auto play.
They move from one song to the next automatically. until v3.7 gets an official release anyway.
I have to manually start the track/scroll when I’m ready.

Info above was correct about text bigger than one page worth.
There’s no reason why after you finish a song, that ST3 would not auto move to the next song/presentation but then hold until you tell it to start

As Damir also pointed out you could look into ‘timed lyric lines’

Peder I'm not shure I fully understand, but thanks anyway 😊

Heres an example where i use the yellow part to sing without backing then as i hit start the lyrics follow the backing track, the yellow part could be your presentation any length you need as you hit start the song would play and synced line lyrics follow, its quite simple to create and very useful.
But thats if you use synced line lyrics.
                Cheers Damir

                  Peter's solution solves my problem.
I don't use Autoplay, because I need to be able to choose my next song manually from the que.

I don't use Autoplay, because I need to be able to choose my next song manually from the que and I don't use sync (timestamps), because I want the lyric to "stand still".
But thanks for the illustration 😎👍
