DickyDutch Hi Dicky I have also gone through all that and I have fast internet and it won’t solve this issue, I believe this is an issue Peter is needing to figure out as there is a problem the way iCloud works and the way ST3 works, my feeling is it has to do with the way ST3 FILE name and SONG name is in ST3 is confusing the ICLOUD.
I have never Taged my songs because my version of Logic Pro does not have this, I believe they woke up and did what I suggested to Peter a while back , I asked him why do we need to have a FILE NAME shown in ST3 song data menu when it does nothing we can’t change it so why display this I suggested to just have the two automated whatever the song name is the actual file name , I believe Logic Pro has automated this in my latest version that’s why I have no need to TAG the exported files so when I load my songs in to ST3 the song file name is there and the SONG name is automatically there in ST3 but my Artist colum is empty in ST3 so I have to than add this in ST3 so in some way I am missing the TAG facility to pre program the Artist column , saying all this does not resolve anything but I think this is a can of worms only Peter and Apple can resolve, I like not having to TAG my songs as it’s a pain but I also like to be able to do it in ST3 as it’s a great help , but I don’t like having to always rename things when it should be automatic, if I name a song file than that’s all done ST3 should know from there on what the song name is and when it exports something like a single .stas the name of the particular song should be automatically filled for you all you need to do is hit export to a destination, simple things like these just keep wasting our time , but that’s another issue.
I hope we can get a file system that just works with iCloud like my iCloud does at the moment with all my diary and notepad information as I don’t need to know anything about it , it just works, how? I don’t know, I don’t need to know, I just need to get on with life, just like ST3 I just need to get on with my music.
Sorry for budding in but I thought to save you time you won’t fix anything by doing it all over I tried already.

    peter Yes, you can delete the iCloud database for ST3.

    Disable iCloud in ST3 on your devices
    Go to iPad-Settings -> iCloud -> Manage Account Storage -> Stage Traxx 3 and tap "Delete Data"
    Reenable iCloud in ST3 on the master device first

    Once the master device is finished with syncing, enable it on the other devices.

    Hi Peter, I did this as you suggested and have ended up with the 20 songs that had looping data all cleared from my master device .
    This is what I did .
    I turned all I clod sync off on all devices , all 20 songs with all data working on all devices, I then went and did the delete iCloud process as you suggested and the ST3 database was gone, now I went to my iMac synced to iCloud and sent data to iCloud as this was to be my master, all my songs disappeared in database as I pulled the resync command my songs appeared but with all data lost all my looping info gone and no lyrics so just the basic songs loaded to ST3 I did the same on iPad and the same result all data lost, this is very dangerous as if you fiddle with iCloud sync you could loose all your hard work in a flash , so I strongly recommend to all have good full backups always.I know this is just testing but so far there needs to be a lot more thought put in to iCloud Sync.
    Hopefully we can all help to get it working perfectly and seamlessly.

        peter Hi Dicky have you had any luck? I just did the whole reset thing and I’m trying to make my iMac the master with iCloud but the thing won’t do anything at all it just sits there with Last Sync: Never message, at least my iPad managed to connect , I feel like I’m flogging a dead horse.

          Hi Peter and Damir just to let you no it’s not good news for me regarding the iCloud sync. Yesterday I deleted all my iCloud ST3 data to basically start again. I also reinstalled st3 beta on both my iPad and IPhone. I then designated my iPad as the master and loaded it with 20 songs using a shared playlist from the live st3. I then selected the option to transfer these songs to iCloud which took 2 to 3 hours to say it was done. I then switched on my iPhone and requested a sync with iCloud. This morning it says it’s complete but only 2 songs have downloaded - all others are listed but highlighted red.

            I will try to reproduce this on my end. Normally if you enable iCloud and select the current device to upload, nothing should be lost.

            Can you check in the Stage Traxx 3 folder that the files are indeed missing?

                  I tried to reproduce the issues and failed. When I disable iCloud on my device, then reenable it and choose the upload option, nohting is deleted (and nothing uploaded as the device has still the same data as the cloud).

                  Whatever, I added lots of log messages that are written to files named "stagetraxx3beta-....log". So please try again with this version and then send me the log files of all devices involved and if possible tell me at wich time things went south. I hope I can then identify the problems.

                  peter yes the files for the songs highlighted in red are all still missing.

                    Have updated beta on my iPad to build 8708 and resumed testing. I can can confirm that the same problems are occurring but Lyrics only songs without pdf files appear okay.
                    How do I access the documents folder in iCloud containing the log files to send you- I can’t seem to find it.

                    It's not in iCloud. The logfile is on your iPad. Open the Files app and go to the Stage Traxx 3 folder. Or open settings and tap on show document folder.

                      peter I’ve emailed you the files from my devices following my last test . Hope they prove useful.

                        Peter i started from scratch with new update on all 3 devices and tried to use iMac as my master with iCloud deleted in imac icloud settings. The Imac just sits there with a message Last Sync: never , it appears it does not engage with iCloud at all , the ipad and iphone do.
                        Thats the first thing i noticed but this was also the case in the previous version. So in my case imac does not allow you to be a master with icloud.I left it running for ages but still nothing, i only have 20 songs so it should not be slow to react.
                        I have just deleted the beta on my imac and fresh reinstalled it, i noticed as i opened the program that the icloud sync button was already engaged, now this is wrong as it should be initially off as i dont know what it was set to be a host or master, but on top of that the icloud on imac is still not engaging.
                        At this time i have used the ipad as master it has created an iclod file with all 20 songs plus 2 folders and the new document so this appears to work correctly, so now i ipad and icloud perfect i will try to pair it with iphone since my imac does not seem to do anything.
                        The iphone got its database almost instantly but the files themselves have not loaded at all and the sync indicator says that it is done, so iphone comunicates with icloud but does not load the audio files themselves.

                        I went in to the iphone st3 folder deleted all 20 songs went to settings and reconnected with icloud , the 20 songs were downloaded quickly and appeared in st3 folder but my database still showed red missing files were present although all the files were there in st3 folder.As i individually touched the song files the red indicators cleared and all 20 songs now appear to be good to go.So the issue is within st3 red indicator logic.

                        Back to imac i tried to make it a slave to iclod , again no response, is there a setting on imac to enable disable st3 icloud? Perhaps that setting is off but where is it in imac?

                        Deleting an app on iOS does not remove its settings and documents. That's why reinstalling it keeps your settings.

                        I was mostly testing Mac the last few days. I do not see any Mac specific issues.

                        Please send me the new log files.

                        I already suspected the missing song indicator to be a part of the issue. Seems you have confirmed it now.

                          I noticed when i open icloud drive i have desktop,downloads,documents,individual aplications, but NO ST3 , why isnt it showing me an ST3 folder? I know i have it on icloud so i expect to see it on my icloud drive.
                          I know there is an ST3 folder as i can see it appear in icloud manager but not when i open to see the i cloud drive content.It makes no logical sense.

                            On a mac how do i completely start from scratch with ST3 beta? All data and settings gone .

                              Peter i now will explain to what my issue was with song data loss,
                              Both ipad and iphone in sync with 20 songs and everything perfect, now delete one song and choose the option NO , do you also want to delete appending audio and pdf files? This to my understanding should leave your audio and database in tact and all you are doing is removing it from the visual database, but when you then resync by pulling the song list the song gets reloaded without the database, so whats the good in that it means you have just lost all your work, and the message of you will retain your audio and data is only half correct as you do not retain the data. I dont use pdfs so i assume you also inluded loops and lyrics in this if not than its a big mistake , i expect to retain all data not just pdf.
                              Perhaps you can fix this and use data instead of pdf.

                              To completely delete the app and data on Mac, you need to delete the following folder in your Home folder after uninstalling the app: Library/Containers/Stage Traxx 3 Beta

                                Sorry Peter I see how it works now and why I ended up loosing my data, I was assuming the data once created stays with the audio file even when you delete the song I forgot I was not in playlists, I am actually in song mode and this is different you are actually deleting things permanently in this mode , I like the ability to duplicate songs easily because I have a number of songs I use the same audio track with different lyrics so instead of having three files I only need 1 and the other two just have a changed database , also it’s the last song left using the file that gives you a prompt do you want to delete the data and retain the audio or get rid of everything, so I feel like a dope at the moment.

                                  Where on the Mac do I do this ?
                                  I know this was working before but after deleting the ST3 folder in iCloud it stopped syncing and I haven’t disabled anything myself.
                                  The ST3 folder appears on Mac when I create it using iPad but the Mac itself has become impotent 😜
