What a terrible app

peter It did not display for me either. On the Internet, the new version is visible in the App Store but it did not show up in updates yet. Don't know what the problem is.

But you can force the update by opening the App Store, searching for Stage Traxx 3 and tap on download icon.

Funny thing is, the update shows up on my iPhone.

it has taken ages but I have my songs back in it now.
can you tell me where the back up saves so I can access it from another tablet. It saves but where to?
also the volume choice on the old app is gone. It used to be a one click access to turn the set down and then after the break one tap to put it back to track volume. Can that feature come back please.

SteveCherelle the volume could be set differently for each playlist, that was a handy feature that has vanished.
Maybe it could be restored in a future update Peter ?

Yeah, as the queue is still working in the background the audio player does not know where a song is coming from (which playlist, songlist, whatever). So I did not have a good idea yet how to tackle this.

I updated the iPad to iOS 12.4 and THEN the update showed up at the App Store.

I'm in shock and very sad. I'm prepared to accept that my inability to get my head around ST3 may not be the fault of the app but I don't see how I can use it. And I object to the amount of time it will take to set everything up before I can play a track plus the learning of the work flow if it's even possible.
For the users ST2 wasn't broken so we don't understand the need to 'fix' it. I fully accept that Apple set the rules but surely a ground-up rebuild would include all the features that the old version had.
I have no idea how I would run a request night and I am terrified of the day ST2 is crippled due to a lack of support.
I feel confident I have complete control of ST2 at a gig whereas I am lost with this and I don't see a way out.

JonathanS Hey Jonathan ! Many of us had the same reaction as you with ST3 and I still think it’s a shame ST2 won’t be supported in the event of it not being compatible with a new iOS.
But after the initial flood of complaints, Peter has improved it to suit the way we (the users) would like it and further improvements are coming soon.
I was near to asking apple for a refund then decided to spent a bit (a lot 🤭) of time working with it and it’s all been worthwhile IMHO.
Being able to open the song library list while playing and selecting a song that was requested and not in playlist is a winner for me.
I’m rehearsing with it all week and will use it on next gig Saturday.
Almost 100% sure I won’t go back to V2.
If you really want to stick to ST2, just don’t update your iPad to the next iOS releases.
if you don’t use internet on it there’s virtually no risk AFAIK.

If your songs are in the media library you can just restore the backup. If you imported your songs from Dropbox, you need to copy them from Dropbox into ST3 via the Files app and then restore the backup.

You can import playlists from iTunes. If you import more than 10 tracks, ST3 will automatically create a playlist (with a generic name). So to import a playlist, add songs to ST3, select all songs in the playlist and after the import, rename the playlist. Tracks already imported will not be imported a second time but they will be added to the playlist.

No, you don't need to keep them in iTunes once you are sure you don't need ST2 any longer.
