  • "Transpose Chords Settings Turned Off in Settings"

Hi, I have a gig next week with my new StageTraxx3 and Mac Laptop. I have combed the User Manual, looked through some of the Forum, and gone to Youtube to find out where this setting is located... The User Manual just says activate Transpose Chords in Settings. As I say, I've combed through everything... please help :-).

I would like to transpose certain songs, but not every one in my set list.

You also have Transpose chords option in SONG DETAILS which works differently.

    Damir Thanks Damir, for some reason in song info page, it says the the transpose setting is not activated in Settings. I'll look at the Song Settings a little more. Thanks!

      @"LeanneProMusic"#p10851Hi Peter, I think the user manual needs to be written in such a way that it is more useful to the new users of ST3, yes you say what a thing does but there is no specific details to guide the new user, which makes the instruction useless, this type of manual is very common now days a lot of companies do not consider the end user they write the manual from their perspective which is wrong.
      There are lots of these examples of poor instructions within ST3 manual.
      Perhaps simple details of how to get to these settings would help as ST3 grows in complexity.

      I am open for changes to the manual. You can send me text change suggestions and if I think they improve the manual, I will add them. For now I am happy with the explanations in the manual.

      And the search function is really useful. Just search for "transpose" and the first hit contains all the info you need. Even linking to the setting you need to enable (you can find it in the lyrics settings).

        peter I like the manual system I just don’t think that some parts are explained in detail enough to be useful,
        Like the example previously mentioned .
        The manual should be written to cater a complete new users without great computer knowledge .
        Full but basic instruction of what everything does, how it does it and where to find it.

          I seem to have the same problem with ST3 on Macbook Pro even on my iPad Gen 10, chords doesn't transpose whether it by via Pitch transpose or Semitone tab. Transpose Chords is already enabled.

            Make sure "Apply Pitch To Chords" in song details and Settings > Lyrics & PDF > Transpose Chords are both enabled.

              Hi Peter, talking about transpose lyrics i have a request if possible,
              When you use song properties window and transpose a song the audio is instantly changed , but the chords don't change until you exit the window, WHY?
              Can you tweak it so it is also is an instant change of chords on the screen to represent the audio change correctly, i know its a minor thing but it would be great if the visual feedback was in sync with the audio.

                Yes, I think that should be just a minor change and I can add that to the next update.
