Regarding the durability of ST2. I don't see a reason it would not run the next couple of years as long as you stay away from big iOS updates. I have lots of users still using iPads on iOS 9.x which limits them to a really old version of Stage Traxx and it still works.
And regarding usage, give me a week to work on this and I think I can get both approaches under one roof.
Oh and yes, there will be an option to disable drag and drop sorting.
