After a song ends - midi commands.

Ok I need some advice here.

I have midi commands that get sent once a song loads up.

Once a song is over, I am ringing a note out on my guitar and the next song auto loads (I really wish this was configurable) - and the midi commands load for that song.

So here I am ringing out a massive note and it changes to an acoustic patch because the next song is loaded.

What do I do here?

I have over 200 songs in stage tracks with 5 multi tracks each - I ain’t about to edit 1000 mp3 to add silence to the end.

Please help.

jmhenry5150 I think this is getting changed isn’t it? I might be wrong. Until then or if not I think you’ll either have to manually stop it with a footswitch press just before the end of the song and then press it again when the note has stopped ringing out so it finishes and then goes to the next song or set your midi command on the next song to change upon the song start and not upon song select.

I would really like to see the next song be disabled at least if you are just selecting the song from the library (not a playlist). I understand the need in a playlist - but not working from the main library.

I do like to have my settings change before the start of the song so that I can verify that the settings changed correctly. I’m just starting this adventure in midi and I am sure I will gain confidence in it - but until then….

jmhenry5150 yeah I’m hoping it will change too as I have midi changes set up at the beginning of songs like you and it’s incredibly annoying when you want to practice a song over and over.
You’ll have to set up a footswitch a stop it manually until then I think.

But I have not decided yet how to proceed as the OP did not react to my questions. There are 3 ideas pending:

Add a playback option that would pause at the end of a song instead of switching to the next song. This would affect every song in playback.
Add a tag to the lyrics to indicate that a song should pause at the end. But I don't really like that this might lead to more support requests of users that forgot they set this tag in some songs and now complain that playback is not moving on.
Use one of the assignable buttons to send midi commands whenever you want

peter I'd vote for option 1 although if you had autoplay engaged would this supersede it?
I'm not sure if this is possible but another option might be to send a time coded stop message?

Autoplay would of course supersede it.

I'm not sure a time coded pause is possible with the current implementation of the audio player. I would need to take a deeper look at this.
