Airturn Stomp 6 strange behaviour, possible ST3 BUG

My Stomp 6 setup is

1 Move selection up
2 Move selection down
3 vol up
4 vol down
5 select next audio region
6 Stop/Pause/Start

Now the issue occurs when you first fire up ST3 in Playlist mode with lyrics showing , then you switch to Song mode with lyrics open, when you then press switch 5 select next audio region you actually get a cursor in the search box , also if you hit switch 6 you get a capital Bbbbb then lower case b with subsaguent hits.
The way to fix this is you Tap to Close function dropping down the lyrics view , then the button 5 and six behave as expected, if you now open the lyrics again this also is now operating as expected, but if you dont do this operation to fix the bug if you go back to playlist and back seem to not fix the issue yet in playlist the buttons operate fine but in song mode they activate these two unwanted functions.
It is really frustrating not having a very reliable foot pedal it seams like the airturn Stomp 6 is not very compatible with ST3,
As i still have my issue where button 2 and 3 seem to be swapped whatever i program for one actually works on the other, Peter i wonder if i got a lemon manufactured pedal where they wired the two buttons back to front?

Try using a different mode on the stomp 6. The cause of these problems is that some of the key commands interfere with iOS keyboard shortcuts. If possible use Airdirect for connections. If you need to stay with the keyboard mode, try different modes.

I tried all modes and same issue, air direct does not seem to work on this stupid Stomp 6 although the Airturn people say its exactly like the digit 3 , well it shows you how much they know, but the good news is i managed to fix my foot switch confusion where switch 2 and 3 were swapped, who ever wired it simply swapped the wires so i put it back now the assignments work perfectly.

Peter i do believe the new operating system is starting to smell i dont understand why i have the stomp six working perfectly in playlist mode , but as soon as i enter song mode it turns to shit, and it only does this the first time i open song mode and use button 6 from there if i drop down the lyrics screen and raise it i have no issue with song mode its like when search gets canceled all is well, as soon as i introduce search my foot pedal changes to different comands, why is this, can we get rid of the X buttons and just use cancle, on all search windows.
Why do i have a popup window appear on bottom with all these options, when all i want is a keyboard to appear, i dont need emoji choice, language choice, keyboard settings, i need a keyboard to pop up so i can do a search then i need a cancle button when i am done.
I cant afford to be doing extra button pushes to expose things that should appear immediately, why is this happening , is it the new operating system upgrade againg stuffing everything up.
At the moment i cant use search the way it is, as its not functional or reliable.

Button 5 is mapped to the "Enter" key in most modes. Seems like iOS uses that key to activate the search box for whatever reason. Button 6 is the "b" key in modes 1 and 3. That's why you then see Bbbbb in the search box.

The whole keyboard approach of Airturn is fundamentally flawed in my opinion. That's why I always recommend using either midi or Airturn Direct. Both work equally well.

Yes I know mode 1 and 3 are setup to operate in a particular way and ST3 makes use of these setups and change their end behaviour, what I don’t understand WHY DOES THIS BEHAVIOUR CHANGE depending on what screen I am in and what function I decide to use, why is search box changing my AirTurn setup in ST3 It should have no effect, it’s like the search box when selected has its own power to override the ST3 pedal settings , and it should not be able to do anything but bring up a keyboard when it’s chosen , once the song is found and selected you should be able to cancel the search and the foot pedal takes over again.
I don’t like the search setup and the way it behaves, it’s hard work and confusing, having different clear options in different windows does not help.
