ODEKK hi Odell, a lyrics only track has no audio capability, it has a setting where you can program a silence track to your liking so the lyrics will scroll to this set time , to add audio you either create a new stereo track or multitrack, then just copy and paste your lyrics from the lyrics only song and then time code the lyrics if you prefer line synced lyrics.
I just use stereo tracks as I can have the original song as a guide to then time stamp my lyrics so if I don’t require backing audio I just mute the audio and use the lyrics only , this is great if you need to refresh your memory at rehearsal if you haven’t performed a certain song for a while , just unmute it and have a listen then mute it when performing without backing audio.
By using loops it is really handy to be able to select quickly your verses, choruses or any important points in a song even if you don’t use backing, you could say you are much better off now using stereo tracks muted if you only need lyrics for the reason you can select up to 12 points in a song for your text this is more than good enough to use as lyrics only , so I personally think it’s a more advantageous way to go for all the major reasons I pointed out, using multitrack has its advantages and disadvantages which I won’t go in to now , but most people will discover them as they use the software and choose what best suits them and makes them comfortable on stage.
Cheers Damir good luck!
