I have a new Roland SPD SX PRO I would like to use as an audio interface for Stage Traxx.
So far I have used a MacBook Pro running MOTU Digital Performer with a MOTU Ultralite 8 in / 8 out audio interface, several midi modules running a combination of audio and midi tracks going from the audio interface into a FOH Mixer to back up a 5 piece band with all their instruments and vocalists.
I am ready to simplify and reduce the channel count of each song to a stereo audio track and a mono click track which will be routed to separate outputs on the Roland SPD SX PRO
My question is, if running Stage Traxx on an iPad with an apple camera adapter will the iPad (Air 3rd generation) recognize the Roland SPD SX Pro as the 12 in / 8 out audio interface it is.
The SPD SX PRO is using 48 kHz 24 bit audio files internally and I will dump about 100 stereo audio tracks into the unit with mono click track and have the iPad with Stage Traxx in tandem for the other 100 songs (also in the same 48 kHz/24bit format) which need lyrics displayed. This is the output routing I have in mind:
Roland typically uses drivers for their audio interfaces.
