Thankfully I've got most of the songs previously in red back working again. Unfortunately I can't re-input the lyrics.

Why not? Do you have a problem with the integrated lyrics editor?

I'm afraid I don't what or where that is. Previously I copied and pasted them from my documents folder and it worked perfectly well.

It might be a good idea to read the Stage Traxx manual to find your way around in the app.

I tried that Peter but when I right click on the song in iTunes "Get Info" does not appear.

Thanks Peter, I'm 74 and this is my first apple device and I use it purely for backing tracks so apologies for being slow on the uptake.

peter Hello again, apologies I've already tried ticking the Custom Lyrics in iTunes but it doesn't allow me to copy and paste like it used to. How do I copy direct into Stage Traxx please?

Paul,In ITunes right click on song.Goto song info.Select Lyrics. Now in the bottom left hand
Corner click on custom lyrics. You can now paste lyrics.

Paul check you have the latest update for ITunes.I have just pasted lyrics to 8 songs in ITunes.
Cheers Barry

Hi Bazz, looking into how to get the latest update it states that to make sure you do a back up first. It was trying to do a back up in the first place that I lost all my lyrics and most of the songs turned red so you can imagine my reluctance after just getting all of the songs back. When I first got Stage Traxx I copied and pasted all of my lyrics but now it won't let me do it. It's really frustrating.

When you add lyrics to an iTunes song and sync the song to your iPad,then add the song to Stagetraxx the lyrics are there.
You can also import lyrics from Dropbox.

Not sure what you mean by the above.
Lyrics were always added to your songs by using ITunes not Stagetraxx.
Stagetraxx reads the lyrics from iTunes.

Bazz, you're dead right and now I feel a complete fool. Put it down to age. Thanks for all of your help.

I'm glad you got it sorted. Stage Traxx reads lyrics from the tags that you edit in iTunes. But please note, that once you change lyrics within Stage Traxx, the changes will be stored in the Stage Traxx database. No 3rd party apps are allowed to make changes to the iTunes library.

    Hello Peter,
I found some questions recently about transferring tracks to an iPad without syncing to iTunes but can't find them now? I added a question to those replies asking that if I get ST3 will all my tracks automatically be transferred from my original ST?

If your on Mac, Kid3 is a great app for editing tags on files. Just add a lyrics field to your songs in the app, paste your lyrics into it and hit save. Then drag and drop the file onto your iPad/stagetraxx. All done

Restoreing a version 2 backup in version 3 will automatically transfer your edited lyrics.
