  • Best pedal board for StageTraxx3

What is best pedal for StageTraxx3 iPhone on market with lot of opportunities iRig ?

Boris the best ones are that are easy to setup , have nice positive switches a long battery life or power supply as an option with easy to replace battery compartment, and has 6 switches that’s if you want to have more control, perhaps not now but later as you discover all the ST3 feature possibilities, all my 2 switch pedals are collecting dust now.
Brand name, you can’t go wrong with AirTurn and any other well known brands ST3 has been developed around AirTurn so I would stick with that to be safe.

Yes, the current generation of Airturn devices (BT500S) is really good and they can also send MIDI data. So another vote for Airturn. You can get them with 2, 4 and 6 switches.

Boris can I start with airturn if I connected by bluetooth two devices iphone and iPad simultaneously

I don't think so. As far as I know you can not control multiple devices with a single pedal at the same time. Bluetooth is always a point to point connection and not point to multipoint.

    hi all.
I purchased a foot pedal off EB its a small 4 button unit with 4 banks of 4.its a re chargeable unit called "chocolate"& I have been using just the 4 buttons 1 bank ie start/next song/volume up/down it works great/easy to set up[not used live yet though]cost me just under £30.

Interesting. Found it as M-VAVE Chocolate on Ebay. Looks like it is a bluetooth MIDI pedal. The price is very tempting. I guess I will order one 🙂

peter I'd be interested to hear your opinion of this once you get it. I tend to avoid relying on (auxiliary) devices with rechargeable batteries, because I expect my gear to last many years and don't trust these batteries after a year or two. Before iPhone, I had a SONY MP3 player that started burning during a gig!! The lithium battery continued burning for at least 24-hours thereafter...

My second concern is the reliance on their unbranded configuration app that may not be around in a year or two.

While this chocolate block was going for around $50 AUD, I finally decided to order the iRig Blueboard at $112 AUD. That's quite a bit cheaper than the Airturn equivalent. Still can't find stock anywhere of the Digit III, but a floor pedal will help for standing gigs.

You got some very valid points there and that's also the reason why I did not buy it yet. I don't have problem with the battery. I'm certain that it is a standard battery module that I could replace myself with a bit of soldering (yes, I also replace iPhone batteries myself 😉). But the proprietary software turned me off. I really don't trust software where the AppStore screenshots show a wild mix of chinese and english in the same screenshot. I also could not find a manual and I have no idea how dependent you are on the app. So the risk that this unit will be nothing more than a nice paper weight after a year or two is definitely there.
