  • Stage Traxx beta version 3.0.0

I am so happy that you are continuing to develop this GREAT app!
Thank you!!

I really miss the big volume up/down buttons that version 2 had. It was great for making quick adjustments while playing the track. Can you put this back into version 3?

    No

    peter

peter No it doesn’t. 1) It’s not in the main player window. 2) It is very jumpy. A swipe can turn the track up .5 db or 2 db. Not good for when you are performing. I liked the volume buttons because it was fixed at 1db increments. Plus it had big buttons on the main screen.

rumbakid OK, I understand. So how about I move the volume slider to the song details dialog and exchange the slider in the big player with buttons?

        New beta build 2216

        • Added volume buttons to main player
        • Updated Airturn to Version 3.4.0
        • Stability improvements

        Bugs in this version

        • Crash when sending MIDI commands
        • MIDI is only sent when main player is open
        • Crash in certain cases when clearing the queue
        • Timecoded MIDI commands not sent
        • possible crash when pressing play after switching back to Stage Traxx from other apps
        • minor font issue in lyrics editor

        Next changes planned

        • backup / restore / migration functionality
        • network session functionality
        • additional pedal commands for mute, pitch change and possibly tempo change
        • find a way to select next song via pedal commands
        • add ability to view played songs

peter The player is still displaying the volume slider and not the buttons

coopdawg It displays both on a wide screen. Only when the screen is narrow the buttons are not displayed.

But the current layout does not work well because it is easy to press the wrong button. I need to change the layout of the bottom bar completely to make it more usable.

peter , I’m not sure what most do, but I always set my text size before my gigs. What would be your thoughts about moving the text size buttons to the song details view, OR in he settings so it could be set globally for every song. This might allow for a cleaner bottom bar. Just a thought...

coopdawg I don't think that's a good idea because you don't see how the lyrics are displayed with the chosen text size. I personally choose the maximum possible size so that lines are not broken. And for that I need to see the lyrics view.

Peter seem to have lost the play button in the edit lyrics page.
Is this intentional as it was a great help when editing.

Bazz02 Are you editing lyrics for a placeholder? In that case the play button is greyed out.

If not, please upload a screenshot.

Peter sorry my fault ,was just looking at the edit page but as soon as I started to edit lyrics
                  the play button showed.
                  Cheers Barry

Would it be possible to have the numbers as well as the letters of the alphabet vertically along side the song list? This is so that if you're in the list area where all the songs starting with the letter "B" are and you wanted a song that starts with the letter "W", you just touch the "W" on the vertical number/letter list and you're instantly in the "W" section. Just like how it works in the Contacts App. I'm having to swipe quite a bit and often overshoot when locating a song. It would also help if like the IOS keyboard, each letter magnifies as you touch it. It doesn't have to be smooth, slick and animated like on IOS itself just have it pop up bigger. Thanks.

What do you mean by song list? The queue? If yes, then I can't do that because the queue is not sorted alphabetically.

The song list already has the alphabetical index on the side.
