So after waiting for the dust to settle and things become more stable on ST4 etc, yesterday I took the plunge and installed V4. I may be missing something, but adding songs compared to ST3 is a few steps back from what I can see. I did my usual and dragged my full song list (over 2000 of them) via finder into ST4. That was fine, and then expected to be able to do the same as ST3, and drag down and get my list of songs then catalogued/added to the app. Nope.... the only way I could find to do it was a long winded press the + button, press the (not easy to find for a first timer), import button, then navigate to my songs I had already copied to the iPad. Then the fun (not) began.... if I tried to select all to import, the app, no matter how many times I tried, would bin me back to the previous page and not import them. So then I tried to do them manually by selecting the tracks (select the first then drag my finger down to scroll select them). After about 100 of them , the app goes into mega slow mode at times appearing to do nothing at all. If you keep pushing, it eventually (like select all), bounces you back to the previous page, however, when it does this, it then removes the option to be able to select tracks (the circle at the front of each one), meaning you have to close the windows right back to the main app screen, then start all over again to get them back. Please tell me there is an easier way to do this, as the way in ST3 was so much easier.

Then I found another issue -- I accidentally added a few songs that I had already added (this is where ST3 was better for import). With ST4 you can add the same songs many many times!! With ST3 that didnt happen, and instead it would update your last file with the new one (think like perhaps you have edited the original file or multiple files to correct lyrics, or improve the quality etc and want to update your iPad, with this method you cant, as it will create yet another song in your list, unless you manually go and remove all traces of it on the iPad before hand . Once again - please tell me if im importing incorrectly, as this feels like an error.

With 5 iPads to have to do updates on regularly, this is gonna increase work load like nobody's business for me... ST3, drag new files in finder to over write the ones on the iPad (get the warning and click ok), go to the main song page on the app, drag down, job done.... no where near as easy with ST4

I like now having folders to be able to categorise the songs (for different shows etc), however, I would have thought if I was inside a folder and did a search then it should only search in that folder, and not the full database?? fair enough searching within folder of the current section of the tree structure you are in, but why search in the ones above?

playing songs (I may have missed this in the options menus, but cant see it), ST3 queue, double click a track to move it to the top of the queue list below the currently playing track, ST4 doesnt do it for me. Same goes for choosing from the master song list - used to just double tap a song to add it to the next in line of the current playing queue, doesnt work for me.

I know it's a new app so there will be lots of new features etc, but the above just seems like steps back for me. Yeah a learning curve to be had (more so for my wife as shes the one that uses it on stage, im only the sound engineer that also creates and adds all the tracks with time synced lyrics etc etc), but with what ive played with so far, were gonna stick to ST3 for the foreseeable unless someone can point me in the direction of doing any of the above a different (and probably correct) way

EDIT -- oh by the way this is the latest version on the App Store, fully unlocked running on an iPad Pro -- I havent tried on any of the other iPads yet, but only one other is a pro, the others are standard iPads.
