Having issues with StageTraxx2 not calling up all my Dropbox file so I can download them into the APP .
Never had any issues for last 3 years
When I link Dropbox I only get 4 of my 65 folders to show up
All my files are accessible in Dropbox App and on my PC
I had Dropbox support help me with Dropbox and everything was up to date and synced
Still had same results in StageTraxx .Dropbox support told me to contact you.
I have 2 iPads with Stage traxx2 , having same issues with both iPads
I have to use StageTraxx2 because when we play gigs all band members have ipad2 which stagetraxx3 is not supported and we can’t network 3 to 2

If I can’t use Dropbox to download songs anymore what are my other options
I hate the thought of trying to find another playback app, been using ST2 for a long time.

I believe there was an announcement from Dropbox some time ago that they will be changing their API to access the Dropbox service. Seems like the time now has come that Stage Traxx 2 will no longer work with Dropbox. You will have to use iTunes Filesharing instead to get data in and out of Stage Traxx.

Can’t Stagetraxx make it where it can use Dropbox API

CAN’T SEEM TO LOAD SONGS USING DROPBOX WITH Stagetraxx 3
Dropbox opens, files are there ,but whe I hit open the songs aren’t sent ST3

Did the files app thing still not importing songs from Dropbox

I also May having sporadic failures in Dropbox. What happens is I can load about 3 or 4 files in a row and then stagetrax’s file system just hangs showing a blank folder. It does not seem to consistently load the Dropbox folder I’m returning to. I often have to reboot my iPad to get it working again. Any suggestions? I have Dropbox as one of my locations in the files app..

    Thanks for your help .

Stage Traxx does not have a Dropbox implementation. I relies on the Files app to get to these files. Dropbox has proven quite buggy with their Files integration.

I always suggest to copy the files directly to the Stage Traxx folder from within the Files app and then refreshing the song list in Stage Traxx. That seems to be the most stable way to do it.

Pbodnar i used dropbox heavily when it first came out as the operating systems really sucked , they were very limitting in many ways, but now i do not use dropbox at all as the operating systems have improved somewhat and allow you to transfer data a bit more conveniantly like Air Drop which seem to work reliably once you establish a good connection.
So my advice to you would be to save youself time in the long run stay away from dropbox as there are much more reliable and quicker ways of doing things.
I personally have my own 8TB home hard drive that acts like my own dropbox system which i can access from any of my own devices from anywhere around the world as long as you have internet access just like dropbox system but simpler bought in officeworks for around $300 au
Called MY CLOUD HOME and if i need to retreive any of my data i can, no monthly payments 8tb is more than enough and i have full control of my own stuff.
Perhaps that would suit you better if you need remote access to your files.
But to tell you the truth i dont even use that with my ST3 setup i just use Air Drop as it is the most conveniant way to transfer files to date.
Perhaps you have older devices and these suggestions are not suitable , but if you are a big user of ST3 then its well wort upgrading to latest gear to save yourself a lot of unnecessary waste of time.
    Hope this helps.

I actually moved completely to using Airdrop for transferring files between computer and iOS devices. But that of course only works with a Mac.

Every iOS user can use 5GB of iCloud Drive for free. That works way better than Dropbox and upgrades to more data are quite cheap. I believe 50GB is just a dollar per month. Way better value than Dropbox.
