i have a small problem with the transpose on st3 when doing a network .now if i transpose a song its set to auto transpose the lyrics chords .which works fine . but has soon has i open a session with the second iPad and join the session the second ipad which is just receiving the lyrics etc dose not transpose the original lyrics chords i'e i play a song in G TRANSPOSE 2 back goes to F no probs but the receiving iPad 2 still shows the original lyrics page in G no chord transpose, help!

    Lyrics are only sent to network clients when you switch to a song. So you need to select another song and then go back to the song you transposed when you want to see these changes on the clients.

    i only play my player in song mode, so i can jump to any song i like when playing . i don't use que or song list , it still don't transpose the chords .unless the song is already on the client player ,so when I'm learning new songs and not yet put the database on the client player, it don't read transpose on the lyrics chords

    OK, disable the option "Show Local Lyrics" on the client. It will then show the (transposed) lyrics from the host.

    tried that it don't work. it seems to be! say i transpose a song back 2 from G to F this works fine but the lyrics could be in THE KEY OF A so got to use the lyrics transpose to knock the lyrics back another 2 ,to get the A to F this is the transpose that the Client ipad can't read

    After changing the transpose setting you need to switch to another song and back. Lyrics are only sent to clients when you select a song.

    tried everything don't work peter been using it today local lyrics on an off playing in song mode ,and no matter what i do the client ipad wont transpose some of the songs even though it has identical songs and data base on it . now if the client ipad just plays the song on ST3 without connecting it. it transposes has it should ,

    If the client displays local files you need to transpose them on the client.

    thought the idea was the client shows the lyrics and chords plus transpose from the host ipad .it don't show the transposed chords correctly .makes no difference if you turn local lyrics on or off .both host and client have identical songs and dater bases ,could it be due to the fact that on a few songs i actually transpose the song and lyrics .on pitch ,then have to transpose the lyrics again to get the correct key showing i.e song in A transpose back 2 to G where as the original lyrics are in B ,so the transpose takes the song to G and the lyrics to A i then use the chord transpose (not the pitch) to take the chords back another 2 to G 😀 so it seems the client is not reading the double transpose

    OK, the host sends the (transposed) lyrics to the clients. If a client has the same song locally and they enabled the "Show local lyrics" feature, the client will just display the local lyrics. In that case the transpose settings from the host are ignored.

    So if you always want to show the lyrics from the host, the clients need to disable the "Show local lyrics" setting.

    davedroug your solution is simple, just transpose your song to the right key in the editing process, don’t be lazy 🤪

        Damir its not the transposing songs thats a problem .that works fine .its when you just transpose lyrics thats the problem .the receiver from the host won't transpose the lyrics

            davedroug It does sound like the double transpose is confusing things , I will try to use this feature as you said and see if I can make it not function properly I initially misunderstood your problem.

              davedroug Yes Dave i can confirm this problem.
              Simply put,
              Peter,
              in song properties, transpose chords, semitones fader is not updating the client screen.
              Everythin else is working fine.
              If you turn on apply pitch to chords then use the pitch in pitch & speed the actual Host and Client works perfectly, yet if you use the semitones fader to change the chords its only the HOST that works it does not update the CLIENT this is a fault.
              And it does not matter if you have apply pitch to chords is on or off, and it does not matter if you have show local lyrics on the client ON or OFF.
              This seems a refresh issue when using semitones fader.
