Hi Peter, i found if you exit program and open it again it does not remember its last window which is the way it use to work i believe, when opening software it auto diverts to SONG MODE only it remembers the last song you were on but it creates a new NEXT song further down the list not immediately after the now playing song, then if you just play the song without touching anything when it finishes it jumps to the next song you didnt select thats down the list and creates another next song further down the list.
This will fix itself if you touch the screen to select your next song, from then on it behaves normally.
So two issues.
Exit and enter software should always remember your exact last setting.
Next should behave itself immediately when opening the software.

As a matter of interest if you select Advanced Queue Mode it always opens showing the Queue with the first song set ready to Play and the second song set as Next.

DickyDutch Thanks Dicky, for the suggestion, but i dont use Queu mode as it does not work for the way i run, i use Playlists where each playlist represents a gig and all my songs i perform are in that playlist i create, i start off with all the songs in alphabetical order first then the first 20 to 40 songs i arrange to suit the gig from there i have the rest in alphabetical order, this gives me a lot of foot control freedom i can easily find all my songs to choose as next yet i have the first 20 to 40 in a pre determined order , this means i just need 2 foot control buttons to scroll up or down i dont have to leave the playlist to go to song mode to choose unexpected requests. And the other advantage all my played songs remain in the playlist and are just purple coloured to indicate they have been done but i can still easily select them to play them again without having to go to history page to look for them like in queue.
Queu is great if its all you require and you are happy with how it wants you to work, but limiting and awkward if you need a different way of operation thats flexible and simple on stage.
I am very happy with the Playlist system which is the way the old ST2 used, except the old system was really poor when loading and manipulating playlists.
Another big advantage of the way i run is you can just use an old gig playlist, rename it to the new gig touch it up slightly and youre done, or just grab the ipad rock up without any prep checkout the type of gig it is and use an old playlist gig that suits this one with no prep you are away and all your songs are available to still bounce around if needed, this method just seems to work for you not against you.
But the issue i pointed out is actually a bug, because everything use to work as expected before, so i hope Peter can get it back the way it was.

Stage Traxx will only open in the same window when it has not been closed by iOS. If iOS decides to terminate the app, it will always start either in Queue (if you have the queue tab enabled) or in Songs. This has always been the case.

peter its all making sense now to why i thought i found a bug, and its all explainable and good to know, if you use sort by NEWEST in song mode small player it throws everything out of wack when it comes to now playing song and next song, its fine and as expected as long as you stay with TITLE ^ sort by.
That could be the case with all other sort by options, and thats fine now that i know why.
I just immediately thought it was a bug as it didnt open up as expected.
So both issues have been explained, thanks Peter.

But now i have another issue i have been fighting for a long time and i dont know how to work aroud it.
I will create a new post for this in support.
