Restore backup zip error

Help! After ours of work I get the message zip error when I try to restore my backup.
Does anyone know what to do?

Most likely the file got truncated while transferring to or from the iPad. Do you have the original Backup somewhere? Can you compare file sizes? Maybe copy the file again and make sure it is downloaded completely before restoring the backup.

This was my first backup. Is it possible to do a recovery of the file with a program like Wondershare recover it?

The file show 2.75 gb so it must be something there?

If it is 2.75GB big chances are good you will be able to repair it. Backup files are basically ZIP archives. So rename the file ending to .zip instead of .st3 and then run it through Wondershare or any other Tool that can repair ZIP archives. After that rename it back to .st3 and try to restore the backup again.

Hi again! When I run the zip file through Wondershare I get a catalog and not a file.
Maybe I don´t do it right. Is it possible for you to to me this favour if I send the file to you?

I have never used Wondershare. Can you open the the zip on your computer?

If you have a Mac, open Terminal and run this:

zip -FF Corrupted.zip --out New.zip

Copy the backup file to your Desktop, rename it to backup.zip. Then you can enter following command in Terminal:

zip -F ~/Desktop/backup.zip --out ~/Desktop/backup-fixed.zip

If that is not able to repair the file, try with this:

zip -FF ~/Desktop/backup.zip --out ~/Desktop/backup-fixed.zip

If this works, rename the file backup-fixed.zip to backup-fixed.st3, copy it to your iPad via Airdrop and try to restore it.
