JonathanS no i use 6 switch foot pedal and a 6 switch remote mounted on guitar.
I have a floor effects pedal everything runs through, my microphone, guitar and ipad all go through this pedal it has stereo outs to pa, i setup my vocals first then bring in my ipad to suit then my guitar, this unit is also a harmonizer that samples my guitar playing and gives great backing harmonies, it also is a full on guitar effects processor that remembers all my guitar effects, the auxilary input is my ST3 which also is used to provide correct vocal harmonies if i dont provide guitar chords, the unit has a briliant vocal pitch correction which is amazing if used sparingly.
So once all is setup i use remotes to fine tune my ST3 volume, and i have volume control on my guitar, so basically i work around my microphone, if this needs tweaking my foot pedal has a nice little microphone volume knob on the side but this does mean i have to bend down to tweak it, normally this is not an issue, one thing i dont have is a master volume but i can just crank this easily on the speakers themselves. This is my small to medium gig setup, i do introduce a little mixer on the stand when doing larger gigs , and when performing with a sound engineer its as simple as plug in to his mixer from my pedal and tell him not to touch a thing once we have setup levels i take control of fine tuning my mix, he basically controls th
my main fronthouse volume, i have fronthouse in my foldback so i can fine tune my mix.
Well now you know how i run, whats your setup?
