****Hi Peter, sorry im having another light bulb moment.
I have just discovered an app that has the capability to work out CHORDS in a song and place them in sync on a wave display, its called CHORD Ai in app store.
Now this capability would be absolutely great to have in ST3 EDIT lyrics as an aid tool to quickly enter chords.
IMAGINE THIS.
When you enter EDIT LYRICS ST3 does a quick analasis of your song and works out the chord structure, this is all in the background , now as you move the song position fader around the song you get a chord suggestion displayed for you so you can simply enter your chords in to the lyrics using this as your guide, i have found this software is great to use as an aid i normally load the song on my iphone and scroll manually through it while entering chords in to ST3 on ipad, its so accurate that i hardly need to have a guitar in hands to confirm chord entry.
So imagine you copy and paste your lyrics in to the editor play the song and you automatically have recommended chords presented to you to enter above your lyrics, this would speed up Chord entry tremendously and if you pitch shift a song for it to recalculate the chords and apropriately display them.
You could eaven have this as an option in settings to be displayed in the wave display similar to the CHORD ai software for those that just want to load a backing track and play it, and get their chords automatically with no fuss, this would be so helpful for those using instruments in their performances, i personaly like my chords above my lyrics as i rely on my lyrics heavily and find chords above do help for those complicated chord progression songs.
So by having an auto chord detection aid in the editing process would really make chord entry a breeze.
Cheers Damir
