No lyrics in pruchased audio file

Ok I downloaded the karaoke-version.com “instrumental”
for a song I want and still don’t see the lyrics. So I bought the karaoke version (of the same song…again,) and I can’t get this version uploaded to my Stagetraxx app. WTH am I doing wrong?

First, lyrics are usually not included in audio files. Even if you buy them on karaoke-version.com. You need to add them yourself.

Then please use a meaningful title for your postings. "Analog man" ist not meaningful. I will change the title of this thread.

Please explain what you do to "Upload" the song into Stage Traxx and what exactly does not work.

Have never had any issues adding karaoke version files to stagetrax. As Peter said virtually zero audio files from any source have the lyrics embedded. its a simple procedure on OSX to do it (and will be the same on windows). I use an app called kid3 to add mine. On the karaoke version website they usually include lyrics on the karaoke files webpage. just copy the full lyrics (Ctrl C on windows CMD c on osx). open kid3 and drag the audio file into the app, on the tag 2 section, click add, then select lyrics from the drop down box. simply paste (ctrl v on windows cmd v on osx) the lyrics into this window that opens then hit the save button. Job done. If you are using the karaoke version multitrack files, then the lyrics won't be on that page, but simply go to the karaoke page for the song and the lyrics will be there 90% of the time, failing that a quick google search will get you the lyrics and just cop and paste once again as described above

DaveT Why use third party software when you can just copy and paste lyrics in to ST3 Lyrics Editor from any source?

Damir because it allows me to edit all the tags for indexing and searching at the one time as well as adding the lyrics and formatting to suit my needs easier on the computer rather than iPad , plus add my custom picture to the tracks etc etc

DaveT I see, sorry I was thinking you were using ST3 as a tool for live performing, as it does allow you to change song name and artist and it manipulates text lyrics reasonably well, yes it does not function like a lot of other music librarian software packages but that’s what makes it so unique and brilliant on stage, it does a particular job fantastically.I have a 27 inch IMac but I still find it faster and better to edit on my iPad using pencil for text editing and not having to transfer from devices saves time I perform with the same iPad , I use IMac as my backup storage incase my iPad gets stolen or broken.
ST3 was never designed as a librarian but it can still be used for that as long as you don’t need all the tag manipulation otherwise it would become to complicated and useless as a simple great live performing tool.
I personally think Peter should design 3 versions of this software one a very simple and basic version for those not needing much, a full on pro version for live performance pros, and a domestic librarian version for home users that require very nice to use storage of their music that doesn’t involve any external influences .
