MIDI commands not being sent

Hi Peter I am finding that occasionally when the ‘Fade in next song button’ (grey button with twisted arrows bottom right of screen) is used, the midi commands positioned at the beginning of next song (e.g. midi@:00:00.00: PC1@1) are not sent. Furthermore it requires STAGETRAXX to be shut down and reopened in order to get the midi commands of any subsequent song to work properly again.

I will have to investigate this. Any specific steps I need to make to reproduce it? What exactly means "sometimes"?

In order to select a guitar fx pedal patch for a song I insert the appropriate midi patch change in the lyrics editor at the start of each song e.g [midi@00:00.00: PC@1]. My fx pedal is connected to a PC (running Midi over Bluetooth) which is connected to an Apple WiFi router. My iPad is also connected to the same router. Normally this works fine - as I hit the play button the appropriate patch comes up on my fx pedal. All good until during song play back I want to go immediately to the next song so I hit the cross fade button. The next song starts playing ok but the midi command is sometimes not sent so fx patch doesn’t change. It doesn’t happen every time - only occasionally but more often than not. The fade in, fade out and cross fade settings are all set to 0.0s

OK, I found the problem. The player in the edit views disable midi send functionality and do not enable it again when the edit view is closed. So the problem happens after you open a details view for a song and afterwards use crossfade.

Will fix this in version 3.4.9 but that can take some more time as I am still busy trying to fix the unsynchronized multitrack playback.
