Time cut off end of file when importing

Hi! Love the app, but lately when I have been importing Stagetraxx cuts about 10 secs off the end of the track. Track plays to the end in iTunes and files, but when I import it it cuts it off. Have tried importing from local files and iTunes and have gotten the same results. This is happened a couple times now. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey fixed it in case anyone else has this problem. Was using files converted to mp3 with variable bit-rate of 220-260 KB/s. When I converted with constant bit-rate of 320 KB/s it worked fine. Thanks.

Weird. Can you send one the files with variable bitrate to support@stagetraxx.com? I often use variable bitrate and never had any issues with it.

I'm having the opposite problem. Stagetraxx cuts of about 6 seconds from the beginning of the track except for my Cue track. All the other tracks (guitar, Bass etc..) should have about 6 seconds of silence at the beginning of the track. The Cue track is only used for a count in before the other tracks start playing. I have done this for about 150 songs without a problems. I also noticed that when I import the instrument tracks into multitracks I don't get the option to Generate Waveform. Only the Cue track allows this.

I found the solution. It seems that even though I was importing from a different folder Stagetraxx was always importing the same files over and over from the "Stage Traxx 3/Multitrack-Files" folder. I deleted the files from the Multitrack-Files folder then imported from a newly created folder that contained my files. This I find very confusing, when I import from different folder but in fact Stage Traxx is importing from the Multitrack-Files folder.

rcprog think of it this way, if you haven’t placed or replaced your files in ST3 folder you won’t be able to play them or display them, everything is contained within this folder so you can easily create full backups, perhaps in that case Peter when you are loading the multitracks the BROWSE option should be disabled so people have no choice as it won’t work for them or perhaps if you are allowed to browse and you do select from a different location ST3 automatically assumes you want this file imported and an option to replace the old file , I agree that it’s confusing now and tricks people, I haven’t used it as I don’t use multitracks yet but I did briefly test some features and this issue sounds like was missed by users as not everybody knows the exact logic.

You can not overwrite existing audio files by reimporting them. If you want to overwrite your files, you need to overwrite them directly via the Files app. Or delete them first in Stage Traxx and then reimport them.
