Problem with ST3 reading the song edits from older version

Hi , I’ve been using the old free stage trax version for a few years now but I now have a new iPad which after restoring a back up from the old one I still have the old version which works ok although a few of the songs didn’t pick up the edit changes ( volumes , scroll & EQ ) . With a new iPad I thought it is time to pay and install ST3 , I have imported the tracks from my media library but none of the songs have the edits , do I have to start all over again doing the volumes , scroll speed and EQs on each track in order to use ST3 ?

You need to import from a backup file from version 2 to get your edits imported. This is described here: https://stagetraxx.com/user-guide/first-steps/#migrating-from-version-2

Thank you for the reply , I’ve only ever used the old free version so this is the first time on ST3 not sure what V2 is or is that the old free version if so that’s what I’ve backed my new iPad from , it as picked up the old version and that is all fine but I’ve installed ST3 and it’s not picked any of it up ?

The old free version was calles "Stage Traxx Lite". So if that is what you are using, the process still stays the same. You need . to create a backup file in the old version (Settings -> Backup), then use iTunes filesharing to move that file to the Stage Traxx 3 folder and then restore the backup in Stage Traxx 3. For this step you need to have purchased the full version feature in Stage Traxx 3. With free version it is not possible to restore a backup.

Yes I have version 2 , just checked , think I know what to do , I have the full paid version of ST3 but when I click on restore it’s saying I need the full version ?

Downloading Stage Traxx 3 is always free and you need to unlock the full version via in app purchase. Please check your AppStore purchases. You should be able to find the receipt for the in app purchase there. Maybe you used another AppleID to buy the in app purchase?
